Bring Cherie Back?..Or suspend elimination?

I'm sure it may have been mentioned in another post but I have just got in and heard the news, and had no time to read them all!

But could or would it be possible to bring Cherie back, as I really don't want yet another 2 person final!! Ive been looking forward to a 3-way as there hasnt been one for 2 years!

If not that, then could the eliminations be suspended for a week, like they did on DWTS when someone pulled out due to injury, and add the scores and votes to next week?

I'm gutted to hear of John quitting! I didn't like the good dancers being knocked out, but then why would John have been asked to take part in the first place if not to go somewhere in the competition! Many people only watch the show for the John's, Kate's and Julian Clary's etc. If only talented dancers were in the competion, viewers would decline, - this is how the original "Come Dancing" died, as the novelty of pro-dancers wore off.

I don't see either option as viable.

What they need to do is start with an extra contestant and just eliminate two in the semi-final in the event that nobody quits.

Cherie was voted out fair and square like everyone else. So no she should not be reinstated unless all the other evictees are.

I don't object to your second suggestion though and I agree wholeheartedly regarding your sentiments about John
