“Revel Horwood: 'Sergeant has no courage'

Craig Revel Horwood has said that John Sergeant's decision to leave Strictly Come Dancing lacked courage.

The political expert pulled out of the contest today amid fears that his public support could skew the voting and see him win ahead of better dancers.

"I was quite shocked to hear the news," Revel Horwood told Claudia Winkleman on spinoff It Takes Two.

"I think it's very odd that someone enter a competition and then does not have the courage to go all the way with it."

Revel Horwood also said he had faith that the British public would not have voted Sergeant into the final.”

He really can't win, can he? He was totally slammed for still being in the competition and now he's being slammed for having withdrawn gracefully.

I know I'm in danger of sounding SMUG but I want to say to James and the Judges -

Be careful what you wish for.....

Just because they say it, it doesn't make it true

Any real pressure could only have come from the silly media/press frenzy in which all sides have contributed tbh. He has worked in the media for many years and is perfectly aware of how it all works. Perhaps now the nations journalists will get round to actually reporting some real news....my god Bruce on Newsnight... honestly its ridiculous.

Lets all just get back to enjoying the show....if you are a fan of John, isn't that the reason he gave for his departure anyway ?

(And as an aside can programme makers stop basing their agenda on what I and countless others witter away on these forums...it's mostly nonsense and I include my own witterings in that category ...and should not be held as an easy way to access "public opinion".... it's kinda lazy.)”

Has anyone considered whether John's decision to go was partly prompted by the fact that his SCD story could become more widely debated by the media than Baby P. All the hype is so silly. In fact its disgusting.
