Surely there must be a few companies out there who would love to pay him a packet to be in their TV ads.

I would think that is the last thing on his mind.

He will continue writing books (he is contracted for two more) and public speaking and hosting corporate events but his agent may put his fees up slightly. He may get another show on Dave.

Rubbish, of course he'll be thinking about the money he can make - he's not been a political commentator for 30+ years without learning a trick or two from them on how spin an audience (as we've just witness) and how to make a buck or two out of it whilst you're doing it.

His fees will bump up a bit, but don't expect to see him advertising Wheetos.

He is booked on a cruise or something of the sort to give talks in about two weeks.

Perhaps he worked out this wonderful way to keep his commitments and come out smelling of roses all the way.

I think he is laughing all the way to the bank. He is a political animal after all.

He comes across as a dignified man with a great deal of integrity.

I very much doubt his motivation is to make a quick buck.

Not everyone is driven by money.

He will make enough money without ads...
