I heard this and thought Claudia didn't expect that. I think James is entitled to an opinion and I think he is probably wishing that John had done this last week as Cherie was voted off. Perhaps he is thinking of how upset she may have been. We don't know.

Being annoyed about the public voting for the worst dancer and being annoyed about someone voluntarily dropping out are separate things.

I agree with James in a couple of respects:
1. This has now become the John Sergeant show. All the focus is on him, and the other couples are getting forgotten, which is ridiculous.
2. It now means (unless the BBC do the right thing and postpone this week's elimination) that there will only be 2 couples in the final, which is really disappointing, since 3-couple finals are so much more exciting.

Having said that, James wasn't very pleasant in the way he said all that.

That was tongue in cheek, it's called humour. I doubt he expected to be saved.

He was all over the papers anyway and has been the last couple of weeks. After this weekend all this attention goes.

Every person I knew who was voting, was voting for him. I really think he would have made the final.

And perhaps for Kristina?
Just a thought.

As I understood it he wanted the competition to be judged on the dancing and not on popularity, but as such John should have stayed in so he could be judged on his dancing (which wasn't the best).

The judges created the controversy, not John. He was just playing by the rules of the show. If the judges had not kicked up such a fuss about John staying in every week, NONE of this would have happened.

James came across very badly today, and on Saturday. Although he is entitled to his opinion, the way this opinion is conveyed counts. I think it's very bad manners attacking another couple even if it is indirectly. I hope if he comes back, he gets the worst partner of all and is then told by someone else that the public should vote for the best dancer. Has anyone actually considered how disrespectful his comment was to Kristina on Saturday? I had warmed to James this year, but now I realise it was all for show.

Are a few JS loving hoodies going to do him over?

Oh right, because he is special in some way compared to the other contestants is he?

Maybe Heather and Cherie should come back to do a 'farewell dance' too, or perhaps Phil Daniels?

James came across as indecisive and heartless.

A very odious man.

Brendan - all is forgiven. You are a saint in comparison.

In mitigation, James isn't the most articulate of pros and he may not have meant it how it came out.”

I agree completely that James comment on Sunday night would have contributed big time to John's decision. But James is probably not the only one that made John's life uncomfortable. John mentioned a couple of times about celebrities who are desperate to win can now fight it out.

I admire James for what he said and actually totally agree with everything he said. He might not have said it in the most articulate way but he certainly hit the nail on the head.

James has also repeated said that he and Cherie deserved to go and he appealed to the PUBLIC to vote on the dancing. By John leaving in such a way it makes a martyr of him. I like John but I think he knows exactly what he is doing - and has made the best possible exit strategy. Gained a huge amount of attention and got to leave on his terms.

Anton's face during James being interviewed was great.

Just the way he turned his head away off set as if to say "Oh god, whats he done now" made me burst into hysterics.

Surely you must see that James saying what he did on the Results Show is what precipitated John's withdrawal. If he had waited until ITT things might have been different.

IMHO time for James to go!

John can't do right for doing wrong. James totally contradicted himself and made himself look like a total fool.

James and the judges can act all 'its so very sad' 'he's so selfish' etc etc!

But it was the bile thrown at him from the judges that caused all this and James well don't get me started on him. His moaning on saturday and on ITT etc would have got to John including everything in the press and media.

My heart goes out to John he was doing what he felt was right for the show. To see the better dancers continue and i feel if he had continued in the show he would have been made to feel very unwelcome which i feel was already quite evident.

I felt so sorry for Kristina I hope very much thats she's back next year.

I dont blame john in the slightest, if any of the celebs or pros were anywhere near as nasty as James can you imagine the atmosphere back stage.? They are all so desperate to win.

In other words, John was damned whether he stayed or went. He was basically just there to make up the numbers for a few weeks so the judges didn't have to try and separate a full compliment of good dancers before the danceoff. When I saw on ITT on Monday that James even said that John should go before Saturday's performances, let alone what he said in the Sunday show and tonight, I felt nothing but sorrow for John and Kristina. What a horrible way for the experience to have to end for them both.

Tonight on ITT, John said his wife got a phone call recently complaining about him being still in the competition. I wonder how much of a factor that was in all this.

He's getting to dance because the schedule has been prepared for the number of dancers left in the show. Or would you prefer another 2 minutes of Brucie jokes?

I think they did a farewell dance if you recall. In fact, two if you include the dance-off.

That's great, but the other day he was saying he had no place in the comp and other dancers were getting voted out because of John?
How many 'more' dancers could have
been voted out? only the first one the rest would have gone anyway. He came across as silly.

James Jordan is nothing but self-contradictory, a sour loser and a heartless idiot. I actually felt sorry for his departure, not any more. He's just a extremely horrible guy. I wish they'll never ask him back ever again.
