I suspect the 'living nightmare' she was referring to was the relentless campaigning by the judges for her and John to be booted off, being made to feel like she and John did not belong in the show by a fellow pro and the negative publicity surrounding the pair.

Maybe if Kristina and John had been allowed to progress without these factors, she would be a far happier lady.”

Before this broke I had wondered why Kristina hadn't posted this week. She looked more composed on The One Show. Christine was very sweet about them and I'm sure Brian will have given her a hug. And she got to dance with Adrian Chiles...

Well said!

Who knows, she may have even said "Please don't hug me when we're on air, it'll make cry even harder".

Very, very sad to see Kristina leave (as well as John) and I really hope SCD perk us up with some more of Kristina and Brian's pro dances.

Really hope Kristina is back next season.

She did some good dancing and the little stories made them both stand out. I think 'Murder on the dance floor' the tune set for Saturday, where they pretend to shoot the judges, might have been a step too far for John?

She would be loving the attention, perhaps he thought things were going 'too' far?

My personal opinion is that it is number 1 and I felt REALLY sorry for Kristina who has been the best thing about this year's SCD I think Claudia really wanted to give Kristina a hug.”

agree wholeheartedly with your first reason, i also think beneath his exterior john too is hurting deeply, but he dosnt want anymore attention drawn towards himself or kristina.

I imagine this whole debarkle has caused john some restless nights since saturday.

We have seen some of the celebs crying because they were in the danceoff and John and Kristina were seen directly or indirectly as a factor in this - I would like to think there is at least as much feeling for Kristina's tears out there.

It seemed to me that the moment Kristina got most upset was when she was talking about the strength of their partnership and how much they had enjoyed working together. I think she has a lot of affection for John and is sad things have ended this way.

I'm sure she didn't want to leave so early, but I really don't think it was self pity that made her cry.

I am sure he will do so privately, Kris's tears must have been agonising for him. If he had demonstrated sympathy "live" I am sure it would have broken his own composure and made her cry more.

That's how I saw it as well. More so when I was watching them watch their H/Ls as he seemed to look upset. I think if he had "looked" to her he would have broke as well, so chose not to. It was all very upsetting and something that I hope we won't have to see for a long time to come.

Yes I rather missed her touching posts too

I didn't realise they'd appeared on The One Show tonight. I'll have to catch it later on iplayer.

I think Kristina has come out of this with a lot of respect.

She is an excellent dancer, a first-rate choreographer and most impressive of all, seemingly very sincere, dignified but a warm and caring individual.

I think a lot of people just wanted to jump off their sofa's tonight, dive through the telly and give her a massive hug - yes I was one of them

Her partner didn't do it for me,but I really enjoyed her being part of this series and I hope she's back next year.

I'm sure when Kristina first met John she thought to herself her stay in SCD would be pretty short lived. I'm sure she is delighted to have remained for 9 weeks, made a name for herself and guaranteed her return next year.

What a shame Arthur Mullard is dead. He would done a fine job in the next series filling the place of the older man in the show. If only Hilda Baker were still with us too. What a show that would be!

I was missing Kristina's posts too.

I felt so sad watching their interview on ITT tonight. Kristina seemed so upset and after all the hard work she has put into this it's such a shame that's it's come to a sudden end.

I was sitting watching and hoping John would give Kristina a hug but I agree with what some other people have said... I think that he was on the verge of getting a bit emotional as well, and didn't want to get upset on live TV which is completely understandable.

Kristina is the star of this series though, I sincerely hope that she will be back next year

I really felt for her on SCD It Takes Two ..... I don't understand why John didn't give her a hug or at least hold her hand.

I know some people don't like showing their feelings in public but tears were rolling down her face .... it was awful to watch.

Len's Help the Aged comment still sticks in the craw.

There was nothing constructive about it - and coming from a man the same age as John simply made him look precisely what he is - a pretentious fool.

I'm sorry J & K are leaving (as will I after Saturday, when the entertainment factor will end for me ), but I don't think Kristina will be too disappointed once she reflects on things.

She stayed in longer than many of her pro colleagues, received more exposure than all of them put together - definitely "a result" for her.

Both she and John will be missed greatly by me.

If it were me, I could not take any more acidic remarks by the judges.

I shall not vote again.

Kristina is old enough to look after herself. She looks like a tough cookie to me.

i am ashamed that this poor girl has been forced out of the competition by a doodery old fool (len), over the top shambolic idiot (bruno) a bloody ex rent boy (craig) and a 70 yr old hag who lusts after the so called male talent like a sex starved moggy (arlene), makes you proud to be british that this has happened,

retire or sack them all and make sure this is brucies last season, also get len and bruno OFF DWTS they are irritating,

hope we seen kristina next year,

John was very selfish to drop out of the competition. It was clear from ITT that she didn't want to leave. And the judges could have moaned as much as they liked, but she could have stayed as long as the public wanted them to.
So don't blame the judges, blame John instead. With all the work she's done, and seeing how nice she always was to him, she didn't deserve this.
