James arrogant and irritating
I cant stand this rude and arrogant hypocrite. I hope we dont have him back next year. And iof we do lets partner him with a hopless dancer and defend himself. I know for a fact many people would never vote for his arrogant sore loser

I think we just console ourselves with the fact that even if partnered with someone brilliant ( and Cherie most definately was not) he will never win!

James is a young man who may have expressed himself poorly
And let's not turn this into yet another Cherie bashing thread - have you nothing better to do? |

I understood the points he was making, he just didn't articulate them very well.

James is a really good dancer and I don't think it's fair for people to be calling for him to be fired just because he said what he thought (far more on the BBC board than here). He was just being honest. |

I agree with James!! As did Kate, Anton, Arlene, Craig AND Len. John should not have pulled out of a competition he had committed to.
By John leaving he has made it WORSE for the dancers left in. There is now only 2 people in the final, whereas had John stayed in the comp there would have been 3. He has robbed someone of the final experience, I think John would have been voted out with 5 or 4 left. As posters have already said James doesnt articulate very well and he comes across aggressive which is a shame because he is only being honest and passionate. I think its refreshing to hear someone tell it as it is on TV these days. |

As I understood it he wanted the competition to be judged on the dancing and not on popularity, but as such John should have stayed in so he could be judged on his dancing (which wasn't the best).

I agree with James but I think he could have put his point across in a much better way.

Er...how can you either agree or disagree with what James said, given that he flatly contradicted himself about four times? Just like with the bizarrely self-contradictory comments from the "judges" (

Last week a lot of people were asking for John to resign, because he was robbing the better people of their well-deserved places. Now, he has resigned and he is still robbing them. He ain't! Only one couple can win. I liked Cherie and James (however, his inconsistency in this matter has me put right off him again), but they wouldn't have made it into the final. They lacked the public support. He is gone now (on his own terms rather than having to take part in a ridiculous exercise such as a predetermined dance off), so people should move on and enjoy the rest of the show. |

He made it far too personal - he accused John of being selfish and wanting it all to be about him which I don't think was totally fair.

He was a hypocrite, backtracking on everything he had said before.
He wasn't the only one either. |

I liked Cherie, but never felt like voting for her because I have never liked James, and his behaviour tonight just reminded me exactly what it was that I don't like about him! I don't think John should have left, but can understand his reasons. James is just a bitter, arrogant man, and should now disappear off our screens for good.
If he is unfortunately back next season, I don't care who he is partnered with, I would never vote for them. I'm sorry, but that's just the way I feel. |

I'll quote myself, because I still believe what he said made sense:
"As I understood it he wanted the competition to be judged on the dancing and not on popularity, but as such John should have stayed in so he could be judged on his dancing (which wasn't the best). " |
