Nope, it's completely fair. If he is always THINKING it's a dance competition, then it's only logical that he should THINK a good dancer would and should win.

If nothing else, but consistency. I mean, if he thought Andrew, being a below-average dancer, could win, why should he make any comments after he was voted out last Sat to 'vote for the dancers, it's a dance competition'?

You can't have it both ways, my dear.

Exactly and it has flown under the radar but John said on ITT tonight that it was getting to 'argy bargy' backstage now so I am not surprised he called it a day!

If some people, and we don't who (but can take guesses ) get that uptight about behind the scenes it becomes confrontational - that is what trully spils the show, not the judges, the voting public etc etc.

Hey - my first visit to the Strictly board

Welcome Rennie!
The BBC Strictly message boards are good too.

James is a plonker, rather sour faced and lacking in social graces.
Still he is a fellow human being, we can forgive him.....eventually.

Not at all. I think it's a dance competition, and up until this afternoon I thought John would win (not that he should win) because of his massive public support.

James was acknowledging the previous high public support for GMTV presenters and it was prob also a shout out to his wife like I said. I don't think it's inconsistent, I just don't think the comments are related.

James is not even my favourite pro - I like him and he's been brilliant with Cherie. I just think he's being disproportionately attacked on this forum for no good reason.
