He said that John was selfish in deciding to leave and that he's now got what he wants i.e. it's all about him (John). Or words to that effect.

I think he more or less said the entire SCD has come to be about John, and that John is selfish, and that John is at fault in leaving the show now. James did not look happy in the least throughout. He twice said he appeared to be contradicting himself, but "he was not really".
He did not agree with Kate or Anton sitting on the sofa alongside him. |

He said that the whole Strictly series was going to be about John now and he disagreed with the decision to drop out as essentially nothing was changing - someone was still going to be voted out this week. He thinks John should have gone when he was voted out , not before. Anton and Kate said pretty much the same thing, but didn't put it as forcefully - Kate sympathised that it can sometimes get difficult to deal with the pressure.

As I understood it James wanted the competition to be judged on the dancing and not on popularity, but as such John should have stayed in so he could be judged on his dancing (which wasn't the best).
He just worded it rather badly. |

Slated for dancing, slated for not going, slated for going.
John is a true martyr. |

He just worded it rather badly. I knew he was stupid, but this takes the biscuit. There must be a village out there somewhere missing an idiot. |

The way I saw it both Kate and Anton effectively agreed with him that he shouldn't have left.

Didn't James lose out this week? Sounds like sour grapes.

I just didn't like the way he almost spat out that it was all about it being the John Sergeant show which is what John wanted.
