Exactly right ... a two couple final becomes almost an endurance test ... I think there are 5 dances with a longer break after the first two - finishing with the Freestyle Show Dance.
John and Kristina could always do their Murder on the Dance Floor dance routine at half time

Why can they just finish the series a week earlier and then they would have their 3 person finale!

Maybe because

a) there would be a gap in the schedule very close to Christmas

b) the climax of SCD would be one week further away from Christmas (making it feel a bit less special perhaps, as well as denting the Christmas schedule viewing figures).

It's been said elsewhere, with no voting through the week, no donations to CiN, the producers could very easily allow for no elimination this week, and allow the judges' and public scores to be carried over to the following week.

Everything crossed in the hope that Auntie Beeb sees the light and does so this weekend to save us from yet another two-way marathon dance-off in the final.

There are too many good couples in this year. Not acting now would mean that John has left in vain.

That's what's wrong with a two-couple final.

So the judges having control over the 2nd finalist is a good thing!
... How!
The crazy situation of having 2 out of the last 3 couples in a dance off with the Non dance off couple virtually handed the glitter ball by default is acceptable

Oh and just to top it off, if something should happen to cause another couple to resign there would be no final at all

Is that a joke? Compared to Matthesha this years couples shine in a beacon of sub-standard mediocrity. Tonight is bound to be an over marked, over hyped "killer competition" fest. I'm cringing already. Hopefully John will be on early so I can switch off.

What Id like to know is What happens if another person pulls out. Jodie was ill last week with the flu she could pass that on to anyone else what would the beeb do then?

Please note I said good couples. I was the biggest Alesha and Matthew fan going last year but can appreciate that dance-wise this is the most open SCD ever.
