It's Kristina I feel sorry for ...

She was obviously terribly upset on ITT, something which did not seem to bother John unduly.

She's been the brains behind his success on the show, making him look as good as possible without drawing much attention to how good she was herself. She got the joke long before anyone else, and was playing a blinder in keeping it going. I'm sad that she is so upset that it has ended this way.

I feel the same, I'm sure that she'll be asked back next year and will probably get a good partner (similar to Flavia with Tarbuck and then someone good (forgotten obviously !!))

I know. My friend and I were watching the show shouting "give her a hug for gods sake!" at the tv.
She looked so upset!! What Brian said was lovely though and I'm really excited to watch them dance in the Pro dances. It just seems like the decision was made without taking her into account, when she is one of the main reasons John is so popular in the first place. Oh well. I hope she comes back next year, she is one of the best pro's SCD has ever had.

She was clearly upset and John kept saying "she's fine, she's strong"

Matt de Angelo. After what she's gone through on this series Kristina deserves no less than Princes William or Harry

She and John have previously been very tactile, I think he knew very well that if he hugged her she would break down. She didn't want to completely blub on the show tonight.

She is a delight.

have to agree and I think you are 100% right, she was clearly very upset and was fighting back the tears and had John actually hugged her she would probably have broken down completely - not something she probably wanted to do on live tv

Hang on though, it's clear that she very much wanted to carry on. I feel he's let her down.

I like Kristina and I regret that she's upset....but I'm not just going to go along with the orthodoxy.

I don't know that she made him look as good as possible. Their routines did not impress me at all. That may be because she had nothing to work with but I don't actually know if a Lilia or an Erin could have done better.

She's been paid and praised highly. I hope to see her next year but I can't say I feel sorry for her.
