R.I.P. SCD Book of remembrance - leave your condolence messages here

Strictly Come Dancing

Born 2003

Died of unnatural causes November 2008.

Your format was 50:50. The judges. The public.

Each week it was said "Your vote counts"

"Vote for your favourites"

"They really need your votes"

"To keep John and Kristina in, ring 09015 22 23 07"

The judges and Bruce didn't like that.

At all.

Not.

"Keeeeeeeeeeeeeep dancing."

Yes, that was your catchphrase.

But now disaaaaaarster has overtaken you.

Your concept has died.

Gone to the great dance floor in the sky.

R.I.P.

(Buried in the family vault beside Come Dancing)

Apologies to EJ Thribb

Like it's gonna end. The ratings will be THROUGH THE ROOF because of this.

The ratings will double this week if only to see John and Kristina's final farewell dance. I doubt whether Strictly will die. I'm sure there a plethora of celebs who'd just love to do it regardless of nasty judges or dodgy dancers.

I agree the ratings will probably be high for this Saturday but I do think they will drop considerably afterwards though as John had a lot of support.

This might have boosted the ratings but for all the wrong reasons IMO.

I don't think any future SCD will be the same. What celebrities who aren't great dancers are going to want to put themselves in that position?
SCD has always appealed to me in the past as there has been a good balance of talent + I have very much enjoyed watching the celebrities progress in their dancing and improve!

The problem this year is that the fun has been taking out of the show. It's no longer a bit of lighthearted entertainment but a serious competition. As you both so rightly pointed out, it will be interesting to see how well the show rates next week.

The show was popular before - clearly something about it draws people in. It will probably continue to do so.

I am very sorry that John Sargeant was made to feel that SCD was not fun any more. It was not fun tonight watching Mr. Jordan shoot his mouth off yet again. You can please some of the people some of the time, most of the people most of the time, but never James Jordan. It would appear that in his eyes JS can't do right for doing wrong and it is blatantly apparent that he doesn't like him. I wish John would keep dancing and I wish James Jordan would button his lip. Somehow I agree with John - it is not fun anymore and tonight Strictly died a small dead because of dance-floor bullies and bitches. It will never be the same again.

After the drama of today, theres something eerily cold and empty about this forum.

I have to admit for a mili second when I saw this thread I thaught something had happend to Bruce.

Four gauleiters switched off the lights, and turned the show into

Spitefully Come Dancing.
