Tuning in a Sharp TV

I have recently aquired an oldish Sharp TV and am having problems tuning it in.

The TV is a Sharp DV-5101H.

I dont have a manual, but there is a Search button on th remote (original remota AFAIK). Ive pressed this and it appears to do an auto tune.

It finds nothing until it gets to around channel 11, at which point it keeps finding a B&W Channel4 signal with white noise. The TV continues to assign this signal so channels.

This isnt such a problem, as i have Freeview so i can watch all the channels through the TV's SCART channel, but it does seem a bit strange.
