Yes how very dare you!

I personally prefer a Wispa, Frys chocolate cream, dairy milk - shall I just say kit kats are not near the top of the leaderboard, and should OH dare to offer one, I am prepared to wield my special Arlene hard stare.

In answer to your point, OP, I imagine there was a combination of the englishman's fear of teary females, and 'scenes' in general, and Kristina saying please don't show sympathy or I will lose all control.

John said it was his wife's friend that called. I bet she was joking and John took it out of context.

Yeah - he's so unfeeling and insensitive he hasn't a clue how to interpret what his wife means when she tells him something.

i have to agree.

i found what he said about not wanting to be eliminated by the judges stupid and his comments about him winning the competion deluded.

it may just be the way i see things but i think the fact that he is a political journalist should be kept in mind. regardless of his nice fluffy exterior he is a very shrewd and probably quite manipulative when he wants to be.

Twirl it is for me - and how appropriate for a dance forum.

I actually think that he was quite embarrassed by Claudia's persistence at trying to get him to cuddle Kristina. My husband would have been completely mortified if he'd been in John's situation. He's a lovely man (my husband, that is), but public displays of affection just aren't him.
