i usually shop in morrisons and i always have a walk past the fish counter, i really like fish, especially shellfish, but i am always too afraid to buy anything because i don't know what to do with it!

ideally i would love to do a nice seafood stew, or maybe some seabass fillets with garlic and soy sauce. can anyone help me? the main problem is cooking it, i mean how do you cook seabass? how do you cook king prawns???

edit to say my OH won't eat fish, so no point in me doing huge quantities, it will only be me eating it.

Seabass you wrap up in foil and cook in the oven. You can also fillet it and pan fry it in butter. You can microwave it. You can put it in a steamer/steam basket. There are so many different ways.

Prawns well you fry them in butter until they go pink.

If I fancy something a bit different that I am not sure how to cook, I normally just google the ingredient and look for recipes.

My flatmate swears by the UKTV food site but I'm not to proud to look anywhere

PS: You might also have a word with the fishmonger, I am sure he will be willing to recommend and give advice on cooking.

I always love Morrisons fish stall (the nearest you can get to a decent fish stall in Spain - they are truly amazing)

I'd just search the BBC food site - you'll find loads of ideas there.

Just to add I could live on fish

This series was on a few weeks back
http://uktv.co.uk/food/recipebySerie...recipeOffset/1

The presenter said that it was perfectly acceptable to use frozen fillets en papillote
So if you are wary of the fish counter you could get a pack of frozen cod, sea bass or plaice fillets and try a few bag/foil recipies.
