iPhone - A few questions
Hi everyone,
I'm treating myself to an iPhone this Christmas. I am currently in a contract with O2 (and a W980i) which expires in June 2009. I am planning on buying the iPhone on Pay and Go, and then using my contract sim in the phone. I will pay an extra £7.50 a month for unlimited wi-fi as well. Would this work? Do I need to tell O2 that I am changing my phone, or not? Thanks, Tom

Should be fine - i did pretty much the same thing with my old iPhone and stuck a random O2 SIM in there. Activated normally.

So even though the contract will be registered for another phone, it should still activate OK?
Thanks, Tom

SIM cards are not linked to the phone. As long as O2 are getting their money from you each month they couldn't care what phone you are using
