Leading on from your remark I personally think that Cameron's just seething with jealousy. He knows everyone thought BB4 was dull as ditchwater and that he isn't a popular winner.

Then along come a group of kids and we're enjoying watching it a hell of a lot more than anything the Sham did.

Cam's not happy the spotlight went off him so quickly. Sour grapes all round folks

I have to agree with that... most people who have actually watched Teen BB thought it was so much better.
There’s no doubt this group of teenagers went into the house with the sole intention of trying to make an impact by being more outrageous than any previous tenants.
And what intention did you have when you went in Cameron?
I think the real Big Brother — over nine weeks — does give viewers a proper insight into how other folk live..
Yep... we have a proper insight into the kind of person you are... a total SHAM!!

Have just read this column again (for my sins) he really is a pious **** isn't he.

Monday

Teen Big Brother provided a ratings fillip last night for Channel 4 on a night when its prime time share dropped to as low as 5%. Share jumped from 10 to 15%. Just 2.5 million viewers tuned in to the first of five one-hour episodes tracking the behaviour of eight 18-year-olds in the Big Brother house.

The fourth series of Big Brother, shown over the summer, averaged 4.5 million viewers.

Tuesday

Following on from Wife Swap at 10pm on Channel 4, Teen Big Brother: the Experiment also saw its audience grow for its second instalment.

Teen Big Brother was watched by 2.8 million viewers and attracted a 16% audience share - an improvement on the 2.5 million audience and 15% share for the first instalment on Monday night.

Wednesday

Teen Big Brother was watched by 1.9 million viewers and attracted an 11% audience share between 10pm and 11.05pm, according to unofficial overnights.

This was the smallest audience for Teen Big Brother, 900,000 below Tuesday's figure and also well down on Monday night, when 2.5 million viewers tuned in.

Moreover, a 1.9 million audience will be one of the lowest ever for any Big Brother series or spin-off since the show launched on Channel 4.

A Channel 4 spokeswoman said the broadcaster was happy with the show's ratings.

"We are very pleased with the way Teen Big Brother is performing and last night it was up against particularly tough competition - football and a movie," she said.

Thursday

The show was watched by 2.4million viewers -up 500,000 on the previous night - and hundreds of thousands are expected to have switched over to see the final show immediately afterwards on digital service E4.

Source: The Guardian TV ratings

Friday

Nearly three million viewers saw Friday's final.

Source: People

Some points to consider...

• Some people weren't too bothered about watching the program at first. Some people here have mentioned how greatly surprised they were after their initial doubts.
• The figures don't account viewing figures for E4 and other repeats.
• Channel 4 shows were the same that were shown the night before on E4
• The number of viewers didn't oscilate hugely. This could be interpreted as the core public watching Teen BB was pretty consistent.

I agree. This Cameron rant has nothing to do with feelings of possessiveness over "our house. Our sofas, kitchen, garden and beds": this is about the fact that another version of BB, only a few months after the regular version, means that the BB4 lot are losing the attention already to another bunch of housemates, rather than getting a whole year to milk the limelight like previous housemates have. And to be honest, it serves the majority of them right for being so bland and false, and giving us such a dull and frustrating BB4.

But Cameron would have us believe that this is about feeling upset that other people are living in 'his' house so soon. Could the man be any more disingenuous?

A whole year to "make it" ?

I had forgotten the BB4 lot 30 seconds after pulling the plug!

And can anyone name one single person from any BB series at all who has made it big time - a couple have done a few TV presenting jobs on early progammes that are hardly mainsteam and Craig did that woodworking programme!!!

So! For people really wanting to make it BIG, I wouldn't suggest BB !!!

This is true... but Kate has at least turned down Eastenders, West End Stage, Hollywood movies, GMTV, TOTP so she can focus on "special projects" for a third rate local radio station...

I'm sure that if she'd exercised a little more taste and not shown everyone her gusset, she might have had a future in the Fame biz.

The only high profile ones I can think of were Kate Lawler R1:SE, but that was a snking ship anyway and Brian on SM:TV, but both of them now seem to have their careers going downhill.

This is just beyond belief

Is this real?..Did he really say that?
i hope he isn't losing any sleep over it.

controversial perhaps, but perhaps its just a piece for a newspaper?

i don't think the fact that it seems wierd seeing other people in there is all that wierd....

From the sounds of things, it appears he is losing sleep,..over losing money.

Controversial to you maybe, iain,..but not to most of us here.

I didn't get the impression that he felt weird. I got the impression that he felt jealous.

He obviously made the point about waiting a year before letting other people own his house.
I wasn't the first to notice the reason for his real resentment,...but of course now I see why it's obvious to see the possibility as to why he feels annoyed at people jumping on his furniture in his house.
Past BB contestants had a full year to cash in on the perks and benefits they would receive after appearing on BB.
Now these young scallywags maybe seem to be a threat to Cameron and Ray.
Ray has even highlighted the possibilities before, about what opportunities and rewards may lie in wait for them after they had finished BB4.
Cameron even had his eye on a TV career. (Which you suggested to me he wasn't at one time)

This new lot threaten to jeapordise Cameron and Ray's cash making potential. Now focus has drifted even further away from the BB4 lot, and maybe these young whippersnappers have stolen Cameron and co.'s thunder. Maybe Paul, Caroline and Tommy etc. can potentially eat into Cameron's potential earnings. It's quite plausible that in Cameron's narrow mind, he fears that he may lose out to opportunities that he felt otherwise may have been presented to him.
Maybe Cameron fears that his year of perks has been cut prematurely short.

Not weird for him iain,...absolutely fuming with jealosy and rage is probably a more appropriate way to describe how he feels.

Bloody hell, there should be a hazard warning on that article, I wasn't expecting to see his smarmy face. He's obviously trying to remind us that he was in BB. Sad Wxxker.

Although I think all this fame and fortune stuff plays a big part, it was slightly different with teen BB, it was put over to them that it would help them in their chosen career paths, for Tommy that was music etc, but if you ask the HM's why they did it and they were honest, I think they would all say it was to be on the telly.
And in MY opinion there were a few teen housemates that could have had the potential to become really well known, but CH4 have decided that is not what THEY want, several shows have asked Tommy to appear on them, but as we are x-directory, all enquiries go through the CH4 press office, and they have turned them down, for reasons only they know, I think this is unfair on the HM's as this is the reason they went in, but it seems CH4 are washing there hands of them, they used the HM's to put on what in MY opinion was the best BB to date, and now they have dumped them, out of 240 hours of filming they used 5 hours of bitching, fighting and confessions and didn't show the housemates being really mature and still being a laugh.

Is this sour grapes? of course it is

I'm not quite sure what it is you're asking "rings true" perhaps if you elaborate, I would understand a bit more

I think BB3 was good, more so for the things they put the housemates through (divides etc) and, getting back to the short time we had to get to know the HM's in Teen BB, you may well be right, I suppose it could have gone either way if it was shown for any longer, it could have got really boring, or it could have livened up the longer they were in, not forgetting that it was the first time that some of the HM's had been away from home (Tommy for sure), it would have been interesting to see how they would have coped if it had been longer, but I suppose I have to agree and say yep BB3 probably just edges it for different reasons.
