I think there is very little difference in Lisa's and Christine's abilities - they both dance ballroom well and they both struggle a bit with latin. I just prefer to watch Christine dance. I think both are weaker than the other contestants and will need a lightbulb moment with their dances next week (and/or the week after), otherwise they will go.

If Christine didn't get into the b2 last night, when Jodie (who is equally charming, I'd have thought) danced better than her with a cold, then I think her vote is massive (she's beautiful and 'girl next door', the one show, Ireland, Matt, anti-judge vote, lovely previous ballroom - loads of possible reasons). I think Christine will be in the top 3, at least. I can't see past a Lisa v Rachel b2 next week, unless one of the men really mess up. And I can't see the judges saving Lisa against Rachel, Austin or Tom.

I cannot see the judges voting against Rachel in any dance off unless she was on crutches. Rachel will be in the final with either Austin or Tom.

Say this is the leaderboard and votes
1st Rachel 5 +1
2nd Austin 4 + 3
3rd Tom 3 + 4
4th Lisa 2 + 2
5 th christine 1 + 5

would that not put her in the bottom 2 with Lisa as Christine has more public votes?”

4th Lisa 2 + 1 = 3
5th Christine 1 + 5 = 6

Both of those scores are a possibility so whether Christine is in the dance off (assuming the judges mark her bottom of the leaderboard) all depends on whether Rachel is more or less popular than Lisa.

...and i do think the order will be Rachel,Austin,Tom,Lisa Christine on judges votes unless one of them obviously messes up a routine.

To get 4 million votes at this stage of the competition is massively unlikely.

I think 1.7 million votes in total is more likely.”

I understand where you are coming from on this but just remember the unprecedented publicity and strength of public indignation, if not outrage, that the whole John Sargeant thing had been stirring up and I don't think it unlikely that there were more votes cast lase Saturday than ever had been before. Makes me sorrier than ever that the proceeds weren't going to charity.

I think it's a real shame that Jodie & Ian have gone, I think they had the best chemistry and Jodie was the best improved dancer as well.

I am getting a bit fed up with the sometimes overmarking by the Judges of some of the other celebs, I really didn't get what the Judges were going on about with their wetting their pants highly praised comments on both Austin and Tom's dances last night, I just didn't feel it from either of them. I thought Austin looked a bit lost at times, And I didn't think Tom's Tango was as sharp as it could have been. sorry Austin & Tom fans

However I think that Rachel & Vincent deserved their 40 score. They were grrrrrreat!

Rachel & Vincent well over marked - what a boring bland dance. Don't like Tom but his dance was much better - Austin's was fun - he is a good dancer.

Tom & Camilla 890,000
Austin & Erin 700,000
Christine & Matt 500,000
Jodie & Ian 300,000
Lisa & Brendan 300,000
Rachel & Vincent 300,000
Cherie & James 200,000
”

So 2.2 million votes are going begging since The People wrote this. I feel that a good proportion of those who are still voting have transferred to Christine, thanks to the One Show connection. She's not immune forever but next week, if she stabilises even in 2nd place with the public, she'll have a minimum of 5 points in the bag.

Converselyfor Rachel, anything less than second with the judges next time, and she's into the dance-off. After that, I'd guess she'll survive to the final but with no chance against Tom or Austin. Mostly female viewers vote, and they tend to have a male favourite - as you can see from the People scores, with all 3 guys topping the chart.

Rachel does not have the personality of an Aleesha Dixon (and that's putting it mildly!) to attract an across the board vote. But the main reason she won't get my vote is fawning, smarmy Vincent, God's gift to women dancers - not!

Them voting figures are intresting
Next week will be even more intresting specially if they have the 2 dances, I really do think we might have Tom & Lisa in the bottom 2 with Lisa going, as many are still voting for christine, me being one of them, even if she dosen't have her finest dance like last night
I just hope next week she will have a fabulous Salsa/Rumba & Tango/Vieneese Waltz

I will join those voting for Christine for two reasons:

One is that, along with Jodie, she has overcome almost total lack of experience plus more inhibitions than any of the other survivors. Yes, it's the J-word again! If she plateaus now and doesn't improve next week, I won't complain at her going out. But I'm hoping that she has her Gethin-style lesson in abandoning yourself to the dance, and blows the judges away.

My reason for this hope is, I'm afraid, purely heterosexual. I didn't warm to her on the One Show at first, but as she's become more relaxed and at home there, and shown up on Saturdays with a top-class makeover plus more and more joy and surprise at how well Matthew can make her dance, I've been smitten. If Christine were to wrap herself all over me in a rumba, I would have great difficulty in finishing it!

Jake and tony ......may i ask if you would still vote for Christine next week if she turns in the weakest dances on the night out of the remaining 5 ??

I've said who I'll vote for, and given reasons. I don't vote based on one performance on one night. I've also said that I won't be coming on here complaining if she's no better than this week and gets voted off.

Yeah, I will, she is one of the reasons why I watch strictly so I will vote for her regardless of how she performs, but if she does get voted out if she is bottom I will definatly agree, but I have a feeling lisa will go
