Q: Well Alison, what's in your shopping bag Alison?
A: Ice cream, what can you do with it except eat it? Is this car crash TV - can I not watch it??? Do I really have to? |

They had Alison visiting peoples homes, looking in their fridges, kitchen cabinets etc & then advisng them on their diets. Car crash TV for sure. |

--Public announcement--
We apologize to viewers everywhere for the cancellation of this week's Ready Steady Cook. This was due to unforseen circumstances as Alison had eaten all the food even before we'd begun the first take. And the condiments. Still, at least she didn't break the table. Instead, we bring you "Camoron's Best Moments from BB4". For the other 44 minutes and 59 seconds we bring you the testcard. |

Oh perlease!
I am 3 stone overweight and that 44dd joke refers to MY actual size. I also call Evans "the fat shop". What next? No chipmunk jokes about Steph? In case the chipmunks complain?

Yes and most grown ups can take a bit of winding up which is all this is. Let's not forget Allison applied to be on Big Brother and she will have been warned about this before she entered the house. She's not overweight through eating normally anyway, she does cram food in her mouth non-stop as we witnessed on Big Brother and which she herself joked about. She was even annoyed that they'd thrown a few leftover scraps from a chinese meal in the bin, I think she wanted them for breakfast or something.

(be it weight /height/handicap/religeon or race.) Sometimes- maybe because they are more relaxed about it something may sneak out-I have done that myself-but when it is pointed out you take it back immedietely and do not try to justify it. Maybe Tommy taught the older viewers something more profound than anything to do with a quick wrap off. (although cant remember whether he was talking about chinese food or people) |

What happened???
On a personal level the Alison person annoyed me. On a cooking level, food was cooked and surprisingly, Alison remarked that she had not eaten chinese food for a long while and asked if she could finish the plate .... no changes there then

Fortunately, these programme makers are experienced and then go to the next sequence .... whatever that is ... the last 15 mins are always something that reminds me of chaos ...... Alison probably ate the Ben and jerries they had planned !!!

(be it weight /height/handicap/religeon or race.) Some physical differences are genetic; others are products of behaviour choices. Other people have the freedom to make those choices for themselves, but we each have the freedom to judge them for it. |

To make fun/ridicule a person who is overweight, is okay then is it?.

Originally posted by Edna Although it's not nice to make fun of someones appearance, wheather they are over/underweight or whatever else, we have all done it at one time or another I am sure.I'm sick of the snidey remarks about Alison's size the same way I was sick of reading the sarky comments about Justine's size as well. I don't watch Alison on TV, as I just can't stand her, regardless of wheather she is doing good or bad in whatever she appears on, so I am not sure of the following statement, am just going by past posts on here. ( which I am sure could be dredged up if absolutely neccessary, but hopefully not) The thing with Alison was she made it known she was quite happy with her weight in and out of the house, and why not she was happy enough in herself, then for someone who is happy with their weight I think she went on a diet in conjunction with a GMTV thing they were doing, she lost no weight as far as people could see, but proceeded to take food from other peoples cupboards who were dieting with no shame on her part. Double standards or what. I'm not saying it is right to ridicle her, but sometimes can see where people are coming from with regards to Alison. As for Justine, she was and is a nasty piece of work, who openly said some pretty nasty things about Jon, so it bothers me not what people say about her. There have been plenty of ex hm's who have been ridiculed on their weight, wheather it be over or under or even just normal, but nothing seems to be said about this. I wouldn't be surprised if I went back through Avolon's posts that he has made references to Alex's weight, and if I find that the case, will pull Avolon up on that one.
