Good ratings for Desperate Housewives, also strong ratings for Property Ladder at 8!! Embarrassing Bodies seems to have been a hit for channel 4 also, i cant help wondering why Channel 4 are performing so well recently... Maybe its because the competition isn't as good as it used to be from BBC & ITV??

Thanks, George. I'd guess Tuesday's would be somewhere between the two.

I felt it was strange when I didn't see Tuesday's figure reported anywhere. We usually get a daytime soap's ratings for at least the first few days after a launch.

How long before a Doctors/OOTB timeslot swap?

What counts as a stream? Watching it for 2minutes and then closing it or watching say 90% of it?

Loose Women & the 1.30 ITV News seem to be doing a bit better than I remember previously. Otherwise it seems much the same as before

I'm amazed at how low the CBBC figures are these days.

BBC One needs to find something better than Real Rescues for the 2.35pm slot.

The two or three week break for Goldenballs seems to have damaged its momentum a bit.

Its running until August so no doubt it will gradually pick back up. There are some good shares there from both BBC1 and ITV1 especially in the morning.

It would be interesting to know how many individuals watch BBC Breakfast and GMTV rather than the average.

Yeh very low, and only getting a 3% share. Imagine if BBC moved CBBC to BBC2. Then BBC1's all-day share would rise even further by 2 or 3%.

To be honest, I think they should show GB all year round. It might become a long-running hit. I supposes it depends how willing Bob Davis is.

With Euro 2008, Wimbledon and the Olympics coming up, perhaps they should move CBBC to BBC Two for the summer, at least.

People would tire of it all year round. They just need to find something to rotate it with.

Of course STV & UTV show Goldenballs earlier & have local magazine shows at 5.30 which out rate the network share % (kind of One Show material for local audiences). It might work for Wales as well.

What do Scotland and NI drop from the ITV daytime line-up to fit in their magazine shows?

Ah its not that simple. Take today for example:

STV

1:30pm ITV Lunchtime News and Weather
2:00pm Conquer the Castle
2:30pm Midsomer Murders
3:30pm Goldenballs
4:30pm Dickinson's Real Deal
5:30pm the five thirty show

UTV

1:30pm ITV Lunchtime News and Weather
2:00pm Dickinson's Real Deal
2:30pm Inspector Morse
4:30pm 60 Minute Makeover
5:30pm UTV Life

ITV

1:30pm ITV Lunchtime News and Weather
2:00pm 60 Minute Makeover
3:00pm Dickinson's Real Deal
4:00pm Midsomer Murders
5:00pm Goldenballs

Regional variations just just like the glory days of regional Itv

What you need to remember is that where most viewers will stick with Jeremy Kyle, that isn't the same for GMTV. GMTV stretches over 3 and a half hours with the average person watching about half an hour. It isn't supposed to be watched in its entirety hence the constant loop of stories. 1m is an average for its entire slot, not necessarily how many people watch.

Yes, very different. I didn't realise they had any variations (other than news) in daytime.

Regional variations just just like the glory days of regional Itv

I used to love looking at the regional variations in the newspaper TV listings, when I was young. Puffin's Pla(i)ce on Channel fascinated me, as did Gus Honeybun's Magic Birthdays (South West?). Never got stuff like that in my region!

lol, but I always put it down to people just leaving the telly on between GMTV and This Morning.

I can't believe people actually put it on specifically to watch that man.

Yeh, good point actually. Maybe GMTV ends with more viewers than one million (balacned out by lower ratings at 6am).
