Teletext has reproted EE will air a 9pm, hour long special edition at the end of October to avoid breaching broadcasting codes.

Should be interesting to see how it rates.

How are ratings tolled up? Is it Sky who tell people how many people have their sky box on that channel at the time when the show is on?

I also don't get how they used to compile ratings records for people who didnt have sky and before freeview. Anyone know?

According to an article on the Chortle website, the sitcom Outnumbered will be returning to BBC One on Saturday nights in November, at around 9pm. At least, that's what the writer says the BBC told him!

A strange move considering the first series went out over two weeks on Tue, Wed and Thu at 10.35pm. Even more so because the initial BBC press release about a second series said it would be on BBC Two.

Perhaps it'll get the 9.40 slot Omid Djalili got last year.

Maybe they reconsidered after the comedy flops this year & decided to give a well reviewed comedy a chance.

Is it wrong that I was waiting for the Indian lady in Fat Fighters?

Maybe its a hour long because of CIN which is normally in early November.

What did Little Britain viewers on this thread think of LB USA? I watch telly with subtitles on, and the subtitle track was different to what was actually broadcast. One punchline had been re-dubbed into something slightly less vulgar, and one sketch in the subtitle track (gym buddies) was removed from the show.

I didn't feel the series had quite the same charm as the previous LB shows. Perhaps HBO are better at drama than comedy?
i thought it was good, it was just like watching the english one but i recognised some things from one tree hill.

England vs Kazakstan NOT airing in Scotland.

Instead airing is:

4:30pm Good Bid, Good Buy
5:30pm FILM: Murder Is Easy

So, the ratings may look a bit different for overnights compared to officials....

What idiot scheduler honestly thought a random film would be better than a world cup qualifier? Obviously tip toeing around the nationalists for that one.

E4 must be pleased with the performance of One Tree Hill in its new slot. I suppose they might bring the next series forward on that basis instead of waiting until the summer as usual.

Do STV not have rights or something?

Because we always got the England games on the BBC if I remember correctly.

It might be a money issue. I presume STV only pay for the network programmes they show and the England rights are quite expensive, so STV is penny pinching.

A bit unusual that The X Factor's audience didn't grow as the episode went on- I'm guessing the bootcamp show wasn't that appealing to viewers. SCD did beat TXF quite easily when directly head-to-head, but its audience was dented by TXF. There were some notable drops for TXF (probably when the adverts were on) such as 20:20, so I expect it to be much closer to Strictly in the official ratings.

Merlin
The repeat of the second episode achieved 1.38m (13.8%) on Sunday 28/9.

Note when looking at Friday's Overnights:

In Scotland, Thursday's episode of EastEnders wasn't shown in Scotland until Friday at 8pm, with Friday's England episode following after at 8:30pm.

A similar scenario has happened in the past, but I can't remember how it affected the ratings. But I think it probably knocked the 8.30pm Coronation Street ratings a little bit.

Apparently it is 1 hour long as it features the
Spoiler

But the episode might be the one to help replace the lost one due to CIN.
Jake Wood (Max Branning) said it was definatly a 'special' so to speak designed to tackle the shows dark storylines without breaking broadcasting rules. This is in consistency with Kris Green reporting a massive storyline for EE at the end of October.

If their going to do a post 9pm show then I think they'll do as much as possible and incorporate:

Spoiler

which is being rumoured.

Any news on what MyNetworkTV got for their first WWE programme? Didn't the CW get something like 4 million? That would easily be MNT's highest rated show ever if it got the same.

Dear God, EastEnders isn't brightening up, is it?

If

Spoiler

is only a rumour at the moment, though, I doubt it'll be aired on October 28th. They would've filmed those scenes already, and would know the plot line for certain - and in all liklihood released the major storylines.
