I don't see why the
Spoiler
rape
episode has to be given a post-watershed slot. I'd have thought it'd only be implied on screen whether it were at 8pm or 9pm.

I think BBC1 showed
Spoiler
a rape
in detail in the 9 o'clock slot a few years ago in 'Redcap'. There was a warning before the programme that it was going to explicit; it must have received complaints though. Maybe the rules were changed since then.

Even if it is allowed during primetime, and it's switched to 9 o'clock, it's still a massive move for EastEnders. Surely they won't be that revealing about the situation?

I can't imagine EastEnders going that far - especially since it's already a very sensitive storyline.

I agree. The possibility is there IMO, but it's uneccessary and in the context of the programme.

So, who do we think's going to win? X Factor or SCD?

I hope X Factor wins.

I hore X Factor wins, but I think SCD will edge it.

I think XF might win tonight, though.

It's a toughie. I think SCD might just edge it last night, but tonight will be interesting. XF has the very early timeslot, but SCD is up against the biggest film premiere of the year.

what type of breaking news do they expect to see on a entertainment/media website?

this is an entertainment/media website and who won between strictly and x factor is big news for us.

That's a surprise with X Factor not even into the live shows yet.

Go XF The BBC might be starting to worry a bit.

I'm surprised at that. The plot thickens.

Doesn't the BBC beat ITV nearly every single day of the year?

A bit of a surprise there- I expected SCD to win as they won last week in similar cicumstances. I think, though, SCD probably got a higher %.

Yes, but I mean the last two years SCD has been comfertably ahead of XF nearly every week. So far XF has won 4/5 head to heads. Although SCD is still doing well but it may fall behind XFactor this year.

That's interesting actually, but it is probably be only a small margin. Personally I don't think the quality of the final 24 is very good this year, compared to previous years and it will be interesting to see ratings for the live shows. Though whatever happens ITV1 are going to have a fantastic weekend next week with F1, Football, XF, Heartbeat & TOF.

Yeah, next weekend will be huge for ITV, and the margin was probably small tonight.

On another note, I think the top 24 is far better than the last two years (apart from Leona).

I think tonight that SCD will be back on top, but next Saturday that XF will be in the lead again.

Although I could be miles off

Some huge ratings last night! Both Strictly Come Dancing and The X Factor did fantastically. I think next week's X Factor will top the 10m mark.
