Strong nights for BBC1, BBC2 and ITV1 last night. ITV1's campaign of Monday Night Thrilllers continues to work, with the first 2 becoming ITV's 2 best rated new dramas this year. I can see Wired doing the same business.

CH4 really only have stromg schedules on Tues & Wed at the minute. They've bodged up Thurs & Fri big time. On Sat they struggle to get a look in, however I think they should air big films like LOTR on a permanent basis here.

FIVE's relaunch only delivered medicore ratings which is a shame, but I can't see why Paul Merton and Unbreakable could not have just swapped days because there are other programmes on bigger channels appealing to the same audiences atm? (Amazon with Bruce Parry & Greatest Cities).

On multichannel a great start for Sanctuary and BBC4 pull in another great audience.

I find that weird seeing as less people watch the ITV News compared to the BBC News at Ten (unless ITV did better than BBC last night, which I strongly doubt. )

Does anyone happen to know why the CW showed a Gossip Girl repeat, and shelved One Tree Hill for a repeat of Priviledged last night, considering the good ratings these shows have been getting.

I am disappointed Prison Break isn't doing better because the current season is probably the best.
Hopefully it gets full season with a great ending and everything tied up before it gets axed

It's a shame Dark Side of fame only made 1.6 - I've been in and out of the that programmes thread on here all day as I enjoyed it so much.

I wonder how many Chantelle will get...

Thursday's US ratings should be interesting, what with both Life On Mars, and Eleventh Hour starting, and both in the same slot too.

I agree Five made a mistake scheduling two programmes that would have similar audiences, I would say if Paul Merton in India's ratings are low we could see a switch of days by the second or third episode.

During the promo to introduce the new look, there was a teaser of Minder which is odd considering it doesn't launch till 2009.

ITV did a similar thing IIRC with Bionic Woman and it seemed to work well.

Eh? I didn't say it wouldn't do well, just that I think Eli Stone would be better suited to ITV4 or even 2 and Sanctuary better suited to Sci-Fi. I think they are the wrong way around basically.

Still, if it can hold onto that sort of figure each week I'm sure ITV will be pleased with it.

Did they? The only Bionic Woman promos I can remember were on ITV2 a month or so before it was due to be shown. I know BBC One did teaser promos with Robin Hood and Merlin as did E4 with Skins.

I'm sure they started advertising it with teasers on ITV1 months before-can anyone back this up? They were definetely advertising heavily on ITV1 anyway.

You're right. I remember them airing teasers for the show well in advance of it debuting.

I can't understand why Heroes is doing so badly in the US. This series is so much better than series 2. People should give it a go.

I agree. People I talk to say they have a much bigger interest in the show than the last series. I gave it up after 3 episodes this year.

But I dunno. Perhaps people are only interested in reality shows in the US.

Completely off topic but is anyone else getting those Hillarys Blinds popups all the time? I am sure I have some sort of pop up blocker installed but these seem to be getting through somehow.

If you're using IE go to Tools > Pop Up Blocker > Turn On Pop Up Blocker.

I never get popups in Firefox.

Don't know much about any other browsers.
