I think there must have been more than 30,000 views since Friday!

There must be alot of lurkers out there, even if some of us are contributing multiple views each day.

Might have something to do with CBS running out of sync.

I'd expect there would usually be a substantial Amazing Race > Desperate Housewives audience.

Some poor ratings last night. From Brand Republic:

Quote:
“Sunshine grabs top slot for BBC One with 3.7m

LONDON - BBC One's subtle comedy 'Sunshine' drew 3.7m viewers last night, enough to win the 9-10pm slot with a 17% share, according to unofficial overnight figures.

'Sunshine' is written by Craig Cash and Phil Mealey, who previously penned the 2003 series 'Early Doors'. In the first of three episodes in the slow-burning character comedy, Steve Coogan starred as Bing, supported by Bernard Hill and Lisa Millet.”

Go on the main TV Programmes sub forum. Then under the columns of "Replies" you can click on the post count. Then everyone who's contributed to the thread's info comes up.

Just noticed this thread is only about 4,000 less viewers than the current top viewed thread (Worst advert on TV). SHould overtake that by tomorrow I think .

Only 100,000 for Richard & Judy

From Broadcast:

Quote:
“100,000 watch Richard and Judy

Richard and Judy's new peaktime show for new digital channel Watch launched last night with 100,000 viewers (0.53%) at 8pm.
Richard and Judy's New Position, featuring the former Channel 4 husband and wife duo managed a peak audience in the final quarter of an hour of 112,000 (0.57%)

The hour-long programme, which featured interviews with Samuel L Jackson and David Walliams, was a big hit amongst upmarket viewers with a sizeable 72.2% of the audience coming from the ABC1 demographic. Younger viewers weren't too impressed with just 18.4% of the audience aged between 16 and 34.

A further 43,000 watched the show on the channel's timeshifted option Watch+1.

UKTV Gold+1, the channel that previously filled that slot on the EPG, managed to average an audience of 49,000 (0.25%) at that time.

It didn't deserve to do much better. The only promotion they did was on their own network and online. They really should have ran an ad on one of the terrestrial channels during primetime if they wanted to pull in a higher than average audience.

Pretty poor performances all round last night, especially at 9pm.

Big Cat Live did quite well at the 8pm slot for BBC One, but 3.7 million for Sunshine is hardly a triumph. ITV had a pretty weak line up and can't have been expecting much.

Sunshine should have done better if you ask me. BBC1 dramas so far this Autumn have been less than spectacular in terms of ratings and quality if you ask me. ITV have been better.

As I think has been noted tonnes of times (but I'll note it again):

*Mediocre BBC Drama --> Solid ratings.
*Mediocre ITV Drama --> FLOP.

I agree. But is that down to fact that ITV is a commercial channel and needs good ratings to justify and please advertisers?

What figures do people on here think equate to something being a hit or not? I actually think now that if a new show debuts with 5m and managed to sustain an average of around that figure it should be classed as a success and therefore more likely to get recommissed.
