I think they mistakenly imagined that C***** would be the draw for viewers with her spiteful gob (C4's idea of good TV)

It was ironic that in spite of the obvious sexual chemistry and closeness between C&Z it was always quite tasteful and not the sort of sleeze that C4 like to portray. I'm sure that they did not imagine that a nice decent love story between two nice people would draw viewers.
They even had the duckling proving to be the beautiful swan and Ziggy weened from laddish womaniser to softee lover.

What a cracking series they could have had with capable producers! They really couldn't have got it more wrong.

Hope you're right about Ziggy realising the gem he's got.
It'll be his loss if he loses her. I do agree about Chanelle's appeal. For me it's entirely independent of Big Brother. I'm not really a big fan of BB.

Although, the 24/7 coverage is unique, and meant one could watch loads of Chanelle

, which won't be the case again, sadly.
Also, tasks aside, she was just being herself in the house whereas she'll be performing/presenting in future, I expect.
I'll probably have to watch next year's BB in case she's on "The B Team" like Nikki Grahame from last year.

I, like Ziggy, don't think it would have been, (if it had happened.)
But, he perhaps might have realised that people (who didn't like Chanelle anyway) were using it as further ammunition to hate her/slag her off in a mock-horror pseudo moralistic fashion.
These 1950's "morals" dictate that she's the one to be criticised, whereas he's "The Man". He shouldn't have discussed his sex life with Chanelle, with Liam, full stop. It's private and personal between him & her, and no one else.

In one of the magazines featuring Chanelle they had an interview with Susan McFadden, winner of "Grease is the Word" and she mentioned she'd been doing Panto in Wakefield.
I think Panto, not necessarily in Wakefield (!), would be a great introduction for Chanelle to acting / performing in front of a live audience / maybe singing too.
It's tongue-in-cheek (or puss-in-boots

) so there's permission to make mistakes etc.
Has it been confirmed that she's switching on the Christmas lights in Wakefield ?
She was described by Katie Begley in the Daily Star as "a national treasure" awww

I think we can safely disregard Gerry's comments in the Daily Mirror. He is gay, you know. Those kind of comments just make better copy.

I don't recall which break-up you refer to, (there were so many

) but the problems were nearly all in Ziggy's head, so I don't think confronting things quickly or "sleeping on it" would have made a difference.
Gerry has a nice humanistic character - the day after the violin kerfuffle some HMs were still, :yawn:, discussing it, while she wasn't in the room.
Gerry agreed she over-reacted but then said "She's human and these things happen." Nicely put Gerry.
