It is interesting to compare her to Emily because although they were the two best looking women in the house, personality wise they were entirely different. She grossly misjudged Chanelle. Chanelle was the opposite to her, never boasting of her many accomplishments and it only started to come out bit by bit that there was far more to her than met the eye. She disclosed in dribs and drabs as the weeks went by that she was a straight As student, grade 7 at the violin and had provisional acceptances for top universities. Dermot O'Leary then informed us somewhat increduously that she had the highest IQ in the house.
But you're right myk, it was her ability to mobilise facts and logic on her behalf in an argument which really showcased her intelligence. This was shown especially in the three arguments she had with Carole where she ran absolute rings around her. She managed to stay calm and focused, listening intently to every shabby lightweight line of attack Carole could muster, before systematically utilising logic to take them apart. I remember one poster on the WHATM thread summing it up nicely at the time, saying Chanelle had the ability in the heat of an argument to say exactly what you always wished you had said but never did.”

Far from being "uneducated" Chanelle has gone to quite a "Posh" school, (hmmm that fits
) and was a prefect, and "teacher's pet" in her own words if anything.
She did run rings around Carole.
For example after the violin kerfuffle, when Carole claimed it was because of all the fights that Chanelle was having that she wasn't talking to her, Chanelle pointed out that she was still talking to the other parties in the fights, namely Charley & Ziggy ! And they were the ones responsible for provoking and starting the fights !
This logic was ignored by Carole because the real reason was "I don't like her very much" as she said to Ziggy on the QT. Why after hearing her say that he encouraged her to talk to Carole I'll never know...
I loved her accent (and sexy voice - even when she sounded "like a bear"
) and she shouldn't try and change it like she discussed in the Diary Room.
She does quite a good "Day-vid" V.B. impression doesn't she ? Ronni Ancona had better watch out.
