He wore it a lot, if memory serves, but then he did say he was waking up constantly depressed. . .
Depressed like that, with Chanelle (!), as his girlfriend. . .the BB house really did his head in, didn't it ?
And he was the only one there who had had some minor fame before too. One would have thought he'd have been able to handle everything better than the rest because of that.
My theory is he thought "this is my last chance for fame" and just loaded the pressure on himself, trying to look good so badly that he looked bad for doing just that
Also he seems to be that sort of personality, a glass half-full worrier.
Best example of that was his message from home.
He managed to turn "Your parents are glued to BB" into something bad in his mind !!.
Chanelle told him, completely rightly, "Don't be daft, they're watching because you're their son and they luv ya !"
That was in the bathroom. Did they have the "It's Not You, It's Me" talk later that night ?

the "elves" part being on the line underneath.
I thought it was some anti Christmas statement at first.
Those elves are tricky little bastards though so it would be understandable.

I thought 'hood up' his way of retreating from the cameras. he would do it sometimes when he was kissing Chan when he was he was trying to get privacy. But similarly towards the end I think he was using it almost like a comfort blanket which suggested to me depression. he also tended to shy away from people and go to bed which is I believe another symptom of depression.
I agree with you that he did regard it as his last chance for fame or career and was trying to look good and increasing pressure on himself in the process.
I disagree regarding previous fame thought - cos I think he was more aware than the others of the potential pitfalls / press etc and therefore this actually added to his pressures.
(Girls aloud actually said this on BBLB and I could see theor point).
I agree about glass half-full worrier (me too in fact) I think build up of pressure can lead to depression which I believe can lead one to see even positive things negatively.
I thought the convo about his parents was just before Molly came in and they were together then whereas I thought the it's not you me was one of the break ups. But I'm really not sure.
