Other beautiful women are just not interested in clothes. Jean Shrimpton, the great beauty of the 1960's, was known for wearing her very plain clothes until they were rags because she just did not care about fashion and couldn't be bothered. Of course, Jean cleaned up very well for photoshoots, so the public was not really aware of her normal shabby clothes.
To be as trendy as Chan, a woman has to spend a great deal of time looking at magazines and checking out the latest clothes in the shops, and she has to develop an eye for what looks good on her.”
I recall that some time ago someone post a link to a London dress company that I believe specialised in providing VB style dresses and about 6 or 8 other companies/ personalities styles - I don't know if they were somehow licensed by the personalities or if they specialised in copies - I think the company's name was something like Victoria. I my memory is correct it was the same company that supplied the dress Chanelle wore when she went back into BBH and the company's web site had a picture of Chanelle modelling the dress in their catalogue. I'm fairly sure they also had her modelling the purple and silver one and some others. Although based on a celeb style all the dresses were made to order and there was scope for individual variations - as with the purple and silver one where the banding was quite different to that of Posh and more stylish.
It was posted somewhere recently that Chanelle had her own dressmaker and I assume this will be a dressmaker employed by this company. As they seem to have used Chanelle to model the dresses she has worn for their on line catalogue I suspect Chanelle has some business arrangement with them. As we have seen recently Chanelle has worn a dress at some highish profile event looking as if straight off the catwalk - she gets papped and pictures appear all over the place - then someone else turns up somewher wearing the same design but perhaps in a different colour. In short I wonder if Chanelle is actually promoting the styles for the company by being seen in them. So that Chanelle may in effect have them on loan at little or no cost.
I think the dress Chanelle wore to re-enter BBH was priced at around £450 and the quoted delivery time to make to order was some 8 weeks although they would not have had that time for Chanelle's. Other dresses were much more modestly priced - barely into three figures.
