Superdrug predict celebrity fragrances will make up 40 per cent of all fragrances they sell this Christmas and New Year.
The stars in question may rave about their own products, but what about the beauty goods that don't have their signatures splashed across the packaging?
Catherine Bossom, buyer for perfumery and cosmetics at Harrods, believes celebs hold enormous beauty appeal for consumers.
"Even premium brands such as Dior and Chanel are working with the likes of Charlize Theron, Nicole Kidman and Keira Knightley to raise their profile," she explains.
"Of course, if a celebrity endorses a product without being paid to, that is even more valuable."
