I don't think any reasonable person could argue with that psychmed. I thought it very sad that Heatworld and at least one paper in commenting on Chanelle talking about presenting on Nuts TV and saying that she '... hoped this might be the start of a career in TV and that she could be the next Lorraine Kelly', described her as 'deluded' ..... at one time what Chanelle was talking about would have been described as 'ambition'. It seems that ambition, hard work, honesty, integrity and all the similar qualities that were considered desirable are now merely qualities for derision by the media! When did you last read anything in the press that applauded success?

Unfortunately we live in the times of "build them up and then knock them down" but the public have the final word and it is up to those who support her to determine her success not the media. We are the judges of her qualities, the media are just looking for reaction.

You may well be right about why the media so readilly deride ambition and success, fortunately Chanelle is tough enough to ignore such uninspiring copy. Sadly there are so many young people who are much more vulnerable and are driven to despair even before they leave school - and too many abandon ambition and even the will to live.

These are indeed very difficult times for young people. However, I think with a good family and friends network and the support that Chanelle knows she has, she will be fine. Unfortunately some young people are not so strong and do not have the same support network.

even better, chanelle is on nuts tonight, but, my husband has just got out attonement for us to watch. so i am relying on you lot to tell me how well she was....

Evening folks. Wish I could have got access now and again at work to keep updated. Plenty of music and motors on the show tonight. Would like to have seen Gary Numan on there ... nice guy - he was interviewed on RTE radio a few days ago, and I figure Chan would like his music. The Hayes family must be so looking forward to seeing her on again, now that she's more familiar with the whole thing ... great to hear from her dad again.

Its purely verbal I can assure you, I am glad to hear you have learned the error of your ways and will stick to the straight and narrow.

I was going to use that very phrase until I saw you had already ... when you see the pasting some other celebs are getting out there practically every week -- I think Chanelle is well up to it, and it was good to see her sticking up for NutsTV ... as usual, she was spot on.

Dont give up on the myspace, you'll get there, I'm hoping to find out about Chan as well because hubby has footie on and I'm recording it and I dont have much patience

Welcome to the club. I've done a good bit of repenting for past errors too, but mostly just appreciate now which is more fun.

Spot on psychmed thats why we think the world of Chanelle how many people have the courage of their convictions even if it causes them grief, very few I can tell you.
