When counting sheep didn't work for me last night I flicked through the TV channels and found Wannabe, With Chanelle was on - it was nice watching it again, it's easy to for get just how entertaining the programme is. For any who can't sleep tonight try tuning in to Channel 21 (freeview) at 4am when there are another two half hour episodes.

Chanelle's 2009 calendar just arrived at play.com a few days ago, and already it's the #9 best-selling calendar under "Babes." (I set aside "Hollyoaks Hunks," which play.com has accidentally put under "Babes" instead of "Hunks," where all the other guys are.)

On amazon.co.uk, it's much harder to see what's going on because all the calendars are lumped together, "Babes" and cats and football teams and Dr Who...

However, Chanelle has the #1 best-selling calendar by Global Publishing, followed by Danielle Lloyd at #2 and Malene Esperson at #3.

That's very encouraging news about Chanelle's calendar sales ..... clearly there's something about Chanelle's style of modelling that hit's a popular level. Stick with it Chanelle.

That's good news, as it shows the level of support Chanelle still has, and that she's a genuine contender in the modelling stakes. She's actually 5th of the individual glamour babes according to that list, so I'd say the indications are the calendar will prob sell out again, whatever it's high position is

According to this site Crumpet would probably sell more calendars than Chan! Well over half their top 100 calendars are of the canine variety.

That's almost believable. It's when you see the 'Tractor-a-day' calendar in their top 5 that you really begin to wonder!!

Chan's calendar is on there somewhere but not in any of the categories you'd expect.

You're right, the calendar rankings on calendarclub.co.uk are quite odd. I wouldn't rely on them either, although as we know there are plenty of dog lovers in the UK!

The "Sort by Bestselling" lists on play.com and amazon.co.uk have their idiosyncracies, but are said to be a frequently updated mirror of sales.

The Amazon Sales Rankings are a different matter, and many published authors have pondered the dark mysteries of their proprietary algorithms.

Re. the calendar sales, the play.com charts I think turned out to be pretty reliable last year, as it sold out shortly after the New Year (iirc). I have a pretty good recollection of how the ranking of the 2008 calendar progressed, so I'll keep an eye on the site for comparison ... this year's calendar was available earlier via other sellers (I also saw they had a stock on e-bay), so the indications look good to me.

BTW, Sky are still on the pigeon theme about Chanelle's shoes ... there aren't may out there who can generate such debate about their choice of footwear [cool]

I don't find those sort of calendar sales figures particularly surprising. In this PC age a lot of the salability factor relates to the acceptability, or otherwise, of displaying the calendar. At one time every building site office and every factory or garage workshop would have one or more glamour calendars prominently displayed - now in many work places it would be a sacking offence to even have such a calendar displayed inside a personal locker. Instead these days I know that a lot of guys who work with heavy machinery, tractors, JCB's and HGV's in particular take huge pride in their big boys toys which they often personalise as much as their homes - they commonly have models of their 'toys' and calendars of them and can of course display them without causing PC offence. Any pet calendars are of course always popular purchases because they are very safe gifts for granny who has everything. It seems to me that Chanelle's calendar is well pitched in the glamour category as it is saucy without being as 'raw' as many of rival calendars and that is likely to make it less offensive to to display.

Well I think we all know now what to get you for Christmas!

Sky seem to have pretty much slagged off just about everyone who is anyone - yet they've been quite kind to Chanelle ... at least they've only tried to make a funny remark about the decoration on her shoes .... could they be just starting to be a fan of our Chanelle?

I'm sure there are - up here every summer just about every village show includes tractor pulling contests, etc by highly enthusiastic younger farm workers who are sponsored by the makers and dealers, and very impressive displays of lovingly restored vintage tractors by equally enthusiastic older farm workers. The photographic appeal of such events in certain quarters is no less than that for Chanelle.

There's nothing bad they could say about Chanelle in that dress. She looked beautiful and her shoes were just perfect for her 21st birthday party - a little bit of bling.

Very true AudGal but of course Sky had to include her in the 'worst dressed list' - I'll bet she looks a whole lot better than a lot of those in their 'Best dressed list'.

Sky have to have something to rant about, as Chanelle never behaves badly unlike some others. It seems that the worse you behave these days, and the more problems you have or allegedly have, the more coverage you get in the mags etc.

That's true, she has worked for that success all on her own in the past year or almost a year and a half now.
What a long way she has come since July 2007 and all the people she has worked with are still with her supporting her and celebrating with her. They are part of her family now, I'm sure.
