Speaking of Hustle, you know the episode that guest-starred Richard Chamberlain as another old con-artist that Robert Vaughan's character knew? Apparently, the role was originally intended for Dirk, but for some reason he was unable to do it.

Shame, I would have loved to have seen that.

By the way, as a long-time fan of both Galactica and the A-Team, can I just say I'm loving listening to all you guys discovering and or rediscovering both shows. Each is a classic in its own way... and Dirk was lovely in both.

I know the episode you mean, but I never realised that...that would have been great! Shame!

The bit that got me was when the snake's head appeared........

Too funny!

Did you have a happy valentines day, wombat?

That was the bit that got my attention too! Where can one get hold of this book...although as I recollect it's the one that's seriously out of print.

What's the difference between the two? The Cowboy one is about his cancer battle, is Fishing just a straight memoir?

You can download it as a virtual book!

Fishing is about the death of his father and birth of his son, kind of interwoven together.

I remember the tears coming when the robot's face appears and you can see the cheeky wink My sense of humour is not sophisticated.

I had a lovely evening thanks, decided to stay in instead of struggling to book a restaurant. Meant I got to see Dragons' Den too - who said romance is dead?

Hope you had a good time too

Have a good day, have to be off to work soon

I watched that (well, sort of, while posting on the board) did you see the guy who had the kisses idea? That was sweet and very apt for the day!

I'm going out for dinner at the weekend instead!

I have work soon too...but I'm taking a day's AL tomorrow!

Oh cool, might try that, although reading on screen give me a headache.

Sounds like a really interesting read. I read in the papers about how his father died, can't imagine how you would deal with that. I've lost a parent myself and know how difficult it is, without having the added trauma of those circumstances

I saw - was a sweet idea, although Peter Jones was a bit patronising buying one off him for £50. Can't see him using it!

The weekend is much more sensible, have a great time. I'm unspeakably jealous about the day off tomorrow - am really in need of a holiday

Have a good day, will pop in this evening, byeee

He's a bit of a ladies man, though, isn't he - might make a good prop for him!

Catch you later!

I have to say that I am still quietly fuming about the fact that the press, tv,etc., have virtually ignored Dirk since he left the B.B.house. It only serves to make me totally uninterested in the other H.M's they constantly feature over and over again. The only headline I will be interested in reading is "Dirk returns to the U.K"
