7pm tomorrow evening, YJ required!!!!

I shall be expecting members of the 'audience' to make acceptance speechs when called upon on behalf of Dirk, unless he happens to make a surprise appearence!

Gosh, I'm going to be busy tomorrow.....

Best task moment: The showgirl task - DB put in so much effort and he looked great in red!
Best diary room entry: Describing Danielle as talking like a truck driver and this "from the country that gave us Shakespeare "
Best nomination of a HM: Nominating himself and describing all his faults that the other HMs would cite ending with "how this guy ever had a TV career is amazing!" I think we know how and why!
Best reaction to an eviction: Saying it like it was after Jackiey's eviction ... "she's a vicious mean-spirited person."
Best Shirk moment: After Shilpa said she would marry at 60, saying "I can't wait that long dear, if we're going to do this it's got to be soon."
Best awwww bless moment: "Can you get me Shilpa's phone number?"
Best Dirky Dancing: the one and only Me and Mrs Jones.
Best hairstyle: Wet and tousled after the obstacle course.
Best bum shot: Emptying the bin on the final day .... no, in fact, all of them
Best yellow jacket moment: The YJ cooking - what a very talented YJ.
Best outfit (eviction): The final night - sooooooo sexy in black!
Best outfit (non-eviction): The servants task uniform - sooooooo sooooooo sexy in uniform!!
Best one-liner in a comedy moment: Who is Jo's role model? "Linda Blair" - a moment of divine inspiration from DB!
Best one-liner in a dramatic moment: ""Now begins the torture!"
Best one liner in a romantic moment: "I used to treat the women in my life like BB treats us and it's got me nowhere! I gave tham tasks, I gave them a reward if they did it well ...." (Well, it does it for me and we can all dream about the rewards )
Best HM in a Dirk suppoting role: Leo - a great straight man for Dirk's humour.
Worst HM in an anti-Dirk suppoting role: Jade - especially for whiskeygate which was pretty much the start of the farce that followed
Best CBB moment: Arriving in the A Team van to the A Team music - and all the 26 days of Dirk fun that followed
Thanks for voting, someone not voting for Cleo as worst HM!!! wow!!!!

If anybody had told me on New Years Day that I'd be renting out A Team dvds in February I'd have told them they were mad.

What has that man done to me!

I received a batch from LOVEFiLM this morning and I'm really enjoying them. When I was a kid I used to run a mile if I just heard the theme tune. I thought it was just for boys.

Shows how much I knew.

Excellent post, Cicero! This is what made Dirk such an outstanding HM!

Well, that and this......

Unfortunately, I have never watched an episode of the A Team!

What about navy PJ's and a bed head, is that permissible?

Best task moment: Dirk getting that fish just beats the revelation that he named Dirk Benedict as the person still living he most admired in the task about the hms.

Best diary room entry: Dirk nominating himself

Best nomination of a HM: Jade, she’s poison

Best reaction to an eviction: When Jade was overreacting about her mum and he asked her if she’d played this game before.

Best Shirk moment: Blowing kisses

Best awwww bless moment: Sitting outside after Cleo/Tiara debacle.Although best probably isn't really the right word. It was the biggest aww moment though.

Best Dirky Dancing: Man in the mirror.

Best hairstyle: Bed head

Best bum shot: bin one.

Best yellow jacket moment: Dirk was saying about how he could leave all his clothes , but not I think his big coat, his shoes and the yellow jacket. It wasn’t there at the time but I know it would have been touched. There might have been tears. It’s lucky it’s waterproof.

Best outfit (eviction): Dirk final night. Just pure yummy class!

Best outfit (non-eviction): pj’s

Best one-liner in a comedy moment: I’m torn between :

When he was saying they thought he was George Peppard, he said. "He was totally different. 'You're the guy with the white hair and the cigar, right?' Yeah, the dead guy? Yeah, that's me. Whatever you do, don't tell them."

And:

When Jermaine yawns and says. "There's gonna be some excitement tonight,"

and Dirk said, "Yeah, Danielle will be crying,"

Best one-liner in a dramatic moment: “I’ll get the chicken out of the toilet’ or words to that effect. Obviously this never happened if you are an editor at Channel 4.

Best one liner in a romantic moment: When Dirk asked for an Indian lullaby , none of that Jacksons sh*t.

Best HM in a Dirk supporting role: Leo, for making him laugh, he needed that!

Worst HM in an anti-Dirk supporting role: Sorry but Shilpa, for saying he’s too old but still flirting, for saying to Dani he’d fu*k up the dancing task. For nominating him so near the end. For believing the coven re the porn comment. For telling them she was allergic to cigar smoke but not telling Dirk. I expected it from the coven but it was much worse for me from Shilpa. I really really wished she’d supported him in the way he did her. It doesn’t mean I don’t like her and Dirk together, they had some great moments, I loved Shirk, that’s why all the above seemed worse to me because I just so wanted her to be there for him too.

Best CBB moment: Can't decide between Dirk arriving and Carole going! No, I've decided, Dirk pouring the whisky in the bin. That's the one.!
Thanks for that who me? I can see you put a lot of thought into it - and I sort of agree re: Shilpa! More on that when I catch up!!!

Thanks Cicero. I agree a lot of it was Shilpa seeking approval and I can't really blame her but I wish she'd been that little bit stronger where Dirk was concerned.
I think also she was a bit self conscious about how her relationship with Dirk would be perceived outside. Ian was gay and Jermaine happily married so they were 'safe'. Dirk did mention to Ian once that he rarely had conversations alone with Shilpa as she would leave if it became just the two of them. Which was a shame because when they did talk they had some wonderful conversations.
And they were fun together, which made her comments sometimes harder to take.

I think there was a clear change in the dynamics when Jade had gone. There were still little moments of flirting and banter, but Shilpa made it pretty clear she was more concerned with ingrating herself with the female HM's than her existing loyalty to Dirk - for example she actually sided more with Cleo than Dirk after Cleogate and nominated him (not to be nice either, I don't buy that for a moment). This left him in a vulnerable position, and that is why I came to prefer Ian to Shilpa in the final week. He was the only HM to really 'get' why Dirk was so upset by Cleo, while the rest of them, at least to some extent, joined in the mocking of Dirk that weekend.
