Sorry to interrupt this converstaion mid-flow but I wanted to pop my head round the door and say 'hi' to everyone here.

I've been lurking on this thread since CBB began and have to say that I love coming here to get my daily Dirk update. I followed this thread religiously when CBB was in full flow and have tried my best to keep up since but you guys all type too fast and I can't keep up!

I thought Dirk came accross really well in the house, there is always a risk when you watch a celeb that you admire do such a show as you build up a perfect image of them in your mind only to have it shattered by their behaviour and true personality. I have to honestly say that I was not disapointed in how Dirk came accross, he seems like the geniunely nice and personable bloke that I met at a convention a few years ago. The editing for the main show was a bit suspect at times and I think they unfairly painted him as a grumpy old man for a while, I managed to catch various bits on the live feed that showed what a humourous bloke he actually is.

I've also managed to get hold of some of Dirk's work, I have all 5 seasons of The A Team and the special edition region 1 set of BSG. I also got my hands on Blue Tornado (which I didn't think was that bad a film!), SSSSSSSS (haven't had a chance to watch that one yet!), I'm waiting for my copies of Alaska and Ruckus to turn up (I could only find them on VHS) and am still waiting for CD Wow to post my copy of that German film.

I've heard that one kind forum member here is doing a collection of dvds with Dirk's best CBB bits and I for one would be very interested in getting a copy of them as I only managed to catch limited bits of the live feed. Any idea where I sign up for that?

Anyways, I have blathered on for long enough, I just wanted to say hi and let everyone know that I love reading this thread and think that all of you guys are great for your staunch support of Mr Benedict! (loved all the shout-outs from here on the JJ and The Coach radio show, am I the only one who found those guys quite funny?)

Hi geekoftheweek and welcome to the thread. Glad you decided to join all the Dirk nuts in here.

Lucky you having all those DVDs/videos - when you get Ruckus you'll definitely have to give us all a full report, we're all desperate to see it. (where did you find it?). I watched Blue Tornado last night and am currently waiting for Sssssss, Undercover Aces and Alaska to arrive, but am tempted by the German film too and trying hard to resist! Also hoping to get the BSG this weekend when I get paid.

We're all looking forward to cheeks' DVDs, not sure what he's planning to do with them but hopefully he'll let us know soon.

Anyway, I'm at work and just popped in for some light relief and a bit of a perv at some pics cos I'm having a rubbish day so I'd better disappear.

Hi geekof theweek and welcome!! I also love getting my daily Dirk fix on this forum - the screencaps etc are fab

I agree with you totally about the highlights shows- sometimes it was like watching two completely different shows if you were lucky enough to have the live feed, there were so many really funny things that were never shown

You'll have to stick around and share some in-depth Dirk knowledge with us

Hi Geekoftheweek and a big welcome to you So glad you decided to join us after all this time lurking

I completely agree with what you say about CBB. All of us here know that the highlights show didn't do Dirk justice. The one-liners thread alone bears witness to that. Also agree that it was great that the real person didn't disappoint which is what happens in lots of cases when your a fan (or old crush ) of someone

Your very lucky to have so much of what Dirk has done. I'm very jealous that you've got Ruckus on order We have seen loads of screencaps in which he looks gorgeous but as far as I know none of us have been able to get hold of a DVD. You'll have to keep us posted as to what you think of it when yours arrives

Once Cheeks finishes the DVDs he'll let us know what the next step is

See you all later

OMG what a decision. The two go so well together as well! (in my imagination anyway ). It'll have to be the chocolate, it's tougher on the wasteline than perving!

No way, changed my mind!!!!! I will take the easier option...no chocolate for Lent . I need my daily dose of dirk perving to get through the day. Without it my life is nothing
