Hi Almira Gulch and diva!

I have to admit that I have washed since meeting Dirk, he smelt very nice and looks absolutely gorgeous in the flesh, sometimes CBB didn't do him much justice If I remember correctly, he was looking particularly foxy that day in a red chequed shirt and black leather jacket with his hair freshly slicked back. I remember that I had just got to the front of the line to meet him when a woman from some sort of radio station tapped him on the shoulder and did a 10 minute interview with him, I didn't complain though as I got to oggle him for even longer than most people there that day!

Collectormania is held in a shopping centre in Milton Keynes and is usually free to enter although you do have to pay for autographs, they usually have some big names there as I have met lots of people from Buffy and Star Trek there )Brint Spiner - who played Data on Star Trek TNG - was there the year I met Dirk and was absolutely miserable as sin and refused to have his photo taken with anyone!) they also had Carrie Fisher there (there were about 25 actots from the Star Wars films there that year) and I think Richard Hatch was also there (although it is only now that I realise who he was!)

I really would recommend Collectormania to anyone who can get there, you'll be able to meet Dwight too (Dwight and Dirk seem to go to these things in pairs!)

Sorry to double post, here's a link to the Collectormania home page:

http://www.collectormania.com/index.html

I remember seeing an ad in SFX a few months ago about Dirk and Dwight attending this event but it was probably an ad for last years event in October. It seems that they are both regularly guests at the event so I would think that they'll be at at least one of them this year. The best thing to do is keep an eye on the site I suppose.

BTW, have met James Marters, Anthony Head and George Hertzberg and they are all sweeties!

Anyone seen this week's Heat magazine Was going to flip through and see if there was anything about Dirk (fat chance), but I couldn't even pick it up due to the massive picture of smug smug Danielle Lloyd and her 'world exclusive' on getting back with Teddy
I've never seen anyone look more self-satisfied. I really fear she is going to come out of this smelling of roses. She used to piss me off massively in the house the way she always talked to Dirk in that annoying fake American accent calling him Dirky grrr

Sorry for the rant *steam releases from ears*

Hi Geekoftheweek

I really enjoyed you telling us about your experience of meeting Dirk. I would love to meet him one day and think the only way of doing it will be if he comes back to London to do threatre so fingers crossed that will happen sometime soon.

It was lovely to read (but no surprise) that Dirk is such a nice guy in person and looks and smells gorgeous in a black leather jacket. The fact that he spoke to you for so long and then also remembered you when you came back to see Dwight says a lot. As Dwight and Dirk are great friends its no surprise that they are always at these conventions together.

I would love to go to Milton Keynes to Collectormania but fear this would be one step too far in my appreciation of Dirk and I'd end up in the divorce courts

Looking forward to your screencaps later Fruits You do spoil us

Just wondering, this might sound controversial BUT Been watching some youtube clips and does anyone else think that Jo and Dirk did sometimes get on? -
I think that if she hadn't been such a lazy moody cow there would have been more funny moments??

I think in some ways their sense of humour was similar, but Jo was a lot more bitter, so I think Dirk steered clear after a while.

When she wasn't in the clutches of Cleo et el; I think she did. But too rarely because of all that was going on I even think Danielle got on with Dirk at times. Cleo was the worst towards Dirk once the Goody clan had gone.

Hi shelly and DenJ!

It was my pleasure to share my experience of meeting Dirk with you all, my family have got sick and tired of me repeating it over and over! I have to admit that I actually attended Collectormania to meet some actors from Star Trek TNG and found out by accident that Dirk was there! I was a bit nervous about meeting him but I'm so glad that I got over my nerves and actually plucked up the courage to meet him, I get terribly nervous meeting people that I have a real crush on and am surprised that I actually managed to blurt out a whole coherent sentance (even though he's probably heard that line a thousand times or more!)

I can't claim to make judgements on the man based on one brief meeting and his stint on CBB but from what I have seen and experienced first hand I believe him to be just a top bloke, a real nice fella with a great sense of humour and a complete lack of ego and I really wish him all the luck and happiness in the world (if I manage to make it back up to Collectormania this year I shall tell him that myself )

Er that might work We could also collect the DNA sample while we're there, probably easier to smuggle a turkey baster into a shopping centre in Milton Keynes than through airport security in Montana

I join you in our awe I mean to stand there for a full 10 minutes listening to a radio interview (your so lucky) and then still be able to chat to him for 15 minutes is something to be proud of I don't think I'd be able to get a word out I'd just stand there and stare
