You're right, of course. He definitely had a hugely commanding presence and everyone was very aware of him at all times - and a little resentful that he could impose a benign authority so subtly when they were all clamouring to be Top Dog. The juveniles, especially, were very nervous of him and that's why they always nominated him. It was clear you did not mess with Mr. B - be he ever so friendly and funny. They wanted to get rid of the Boss - for the Boss he was, in fact, if not in name at first. Jo would never accept him but if there had been another nomination at the end, Jack and Danielle would not have nominated him again.
