Evening. Have been looking at hotels in MK, the best I have come up with is the Travelodge, it's a 10/15 min walk from the centre Collectormania is at (so cheap for a taxi too) and is apparently near the train station as well. They have family rooms (officially sleep 3 adults, although I've been known to share with 4 as they never check ) for £61 a night. They seem to have a few rooms available atm. The next best I've found is a Travel Inn about 3 miles from the centre of MK with double/twins for £58.
Am still looking, but others seems a lot more expensive, I think a lot must put their prices up when there's a big event on in town.

Travelodge details...
http://www.travelodge.co.uk/find_a_h...hp?hotel_id=54

Am off out a bit later for the evening but will maybe start a new thread for Collectormania plans/arrangements tomorrow if people think it's a good idea?

In the meantime, if any interested people want to PM me or post on here, I always read back so I'll see it.

Any ideas/suggestions gratefully received.

Btw, forgot to mention, this is the Thursday night (3rd May) I'm looking at for now. Am hoping I can get the Friday off work.

Ohhh lovely. It is a very good read. I couldn't put it down myself.

The footie match finished 2-2 . The replay is going to be played on Monday 19th at Old Trafford...United should beat Boro then.

Btw my boyfriend got 2 tickets to a charity football match to be played at Old Trafford this coming Tueday. It is United XI vs Europe's XI... really looking forward to it, should be a good match.

The Man Utd XI should be the normal first team players and the Europe XI will have players such as Beckham, Gerrard, Ronaldinho, Carragher, Thuram etc.

I will be leaving early on Tuesday, my b/f is going to drive up to Manchester, no point in taking the train.

The last time i went to Old Trafford was for a pre season game last year. I would love to go and watch a game their every other weekend but it is a long travel from London to Manchester.

Here is the latest list of Europe XI team's

Ronaldinho Barcelona Age: 26
Carles Puyol Barcelona Age: 28
Gianluca Zambrotta Barcelona Age: 30
Lilian Thuram Barcelona Age: 35
Steven Gerrard Liverpool Age: 26
Jamie Carragher Liverpool Age: 29
Juninho Lyon Age: 32
Eric Abidal Lyon Age: 27
Gregory Coupet Lyon Age: 34

There should be more names confirmed by Tuesday.

Just found out that Beckham got injured in his last match so he won't be playing but he will come out onto the pitch before the game to greet the United fans and say a proper farewell to the fans and the club because he didn't get the chance to when he left the club in 2003.

BBC1 will be showing the match on Tuesday at 7.30pm if anyone is interested.

Quoting myself, how egotistical.

Anyway, found double rooms for £26 at a Travelodge 4.4 miles out of MK centre.

Lol, nah, not sure I want to marry him - apart from the fact he's already married, he's never appealed in that way. Although I have been known to offer to have his babies after several crucial goals.
