In more ways than one Cicero
As for the transit question - this particular transit in May is far more powerful than the engine in the A-team van

If you must lower the tone, I just want to say I love the way his chest tapers to his waist - for me Dirk is the perfect shape (for a man)

Just thought I would add that around the 19th of this month there is an eclipsed new moon in Pisces. We all only get one new moon in our birth sign each year and it signifies the beginning of a new yearly cycle for each of us - in other words; a fresh start. Because this new moon is in Dirk's sign and it is eclipsed; this bodes very well for a huge change (for the better) in Dirk's fortunes. Lets hope he gets all the good things he so richly deserves.

Incedently, on a youtube clip I was watching last night, he was talking about astrology, he said he had had lots of readings done and that a close friend of his had written a book on the subject...

I don't really understand, or do I mean can't comprehend, astrology - I suppose in my heart of hearts, I am a believer in self determination, but wonder whether a degree of self determination isn't, in fact, still possible within the wider influence of other bigger factors - help please nonsuch?

Muttley - do you have a link?

Oh thanks Muttley I will try and find the clip - you have just reminded me; I read or heard somewhere, weeks ago, that he initially turned down the idea of going on CBB but an astrologer had told him that he must do it because a great deal could come from it. How he must have doubted that prediction at times in that house

Wouldn't it be fab if something really good did come out of it? Dirk deserves some luck and he did have to put up with an awful lot of nonsense

She played the character of Dana Harmon. I haven't seen this episode yet so someone on here must have seen it before so how was she in it? Any good?

Cicero you are right to believe in self determination - that coupled with positive thinking are crucial to what will or wont happen in your life. One of my all time favourite quotes is "If you think you can't - you are probably right.
All astrology does is point out when times are most favourable to achieve your goals.
Trivia: It's interesting to note that both Napoleon and Hitler had their horoscopes cast daily and the onlytime they disregarded what they were told led to their downfall. Both, at separate times in history, were warned not to invade Russia. In this case, thank goodness, they both disregarded the advice they were given and Russia marked the beginning of the end for both of them

It would be great wouldn't it? He was the true star of the show and if the race row hadn't happened then i am sure he would have won (it would have been between him and Jermaine for 1st prize). I am really looking forward to his 3rd book. The man is such a good writer, he really captures your imagination with his writing style.

I will enjoy the game Cicero.
I have to go now.
Take care everyone

That's very interesting - thank you nonsuch. I didn't know that about Napoleon and Hitler; though had Hitler studied Hegel's theory - essentially that history repeats itself, the first time as tragedy, the second time as farce - how things might have been different.

Can you suggest anywhere I can look for a basic introduction to astrology and how it works - I would be really interested?

I have tried to understand astrology - but I can never, no matter how hard I try understand it. I think its one of those things you have to have a gift for

Yes, Hera - I'd love to read more of his writing too - if only they'd reprint Fishing I think he's written some short stories as well but so far unpublished - its a real shame because he does have talent and a lovely turn of phrase

Anyway, if you're still here - YOU'LL BE LATE GET A MOVE ON

Have a great time xxx

Astrology is all about interpretation of the position of the planets and some astrologers are far better than others. What I would recommend to anyone with an interest is a book by Linda Goodman - I think the title is "Sun Signs" but I will have to check with a friend who has the book. Your local library should have it and if not Smiths stock it. This won't tell you how to compile charts but her accuracy about the different signs is uncanny. She describes each signs characteristics separately for men, women and children - so if you want to understand a partner, someone you work with or want to know what makes your child tick - this book will help you. I haven't read it for years but I still consider it the best and her accuracy will have you laughing aloud.
I wonder if Dirk has read it !
