First of all thank you for such a fun evening in the other place.

Secondly an apology for leaving so abruptly last night - I kept trying to get the links to work by saving things in different ways and then my laptop said enough is enough and went into melt down. I had some very odd messages come up so I decided just to switch off. When I switched on this morning everythinng seems to be okay.

Back to the topic late last night on this thread - I just could not believe why people would attend an event like that and meet the 'heroes' and not bother to dress neatly or even comb their hair. No one expects designer clothes or anything but tidyness doesn't cost money.

Well rant over.

I know, we were stunned...unless, you don't suppose they MADE them dress like that, do you?

Well I am just sitting here waiting to start the day. I could do with an episode of TAT to watch but they are only being shown on Sunday mornings.

Then I must got out house hunting again I am having a problem getting any enthusiasm for it but I really must. I have already accepted an offer on my house and do need to find somewhere to live!

I don't envy you that task...I had a dreadful time last time I moved...

In Brighton where I live the grottiest flat is 175K !!!

I am downsizing because i have a 3 bedroom house - but I have already accepted an offer on it. If I can't find anywhere to go I am going to have to change my mind and take it off the market. I really don't want to do that because I am selling to first time buyers and I have already kept them waiting for over a month but I may have no choice in the matter.

I am not going to move from a nice house to a 'hole in the ground - literally no exxageration' just to cut down my monthly outgoings.

I know someone who is an estate agent, and he says that March is the time good property's start coming on the market, so fingers crossed for you...

Yes thank you I do hope so - I have my name and circumstances down with several estate agents in the areas I am looking for. But if any property like I want comes on the market it always gets snapped up straight away. If you wait to see it in the newspaper it is too late.

I am supposed to be proactive about this and call the agents two or three times a week to see if they have anything . This is impossible for me. I am unable to call from work because I start before nine in the morning and have to do banking work first thing that has to be finished promptly before others can do their daily work And then I don't get home until after six at night because it takes me nearly an hour to do the journey.

Sorry Muttley - I am sure that you don't want to hear about my troubles - my friends and family are getting fed up with me and, to their credit, are trying to help.
