I know you won't believe this but I'm actually a very normal person. Its just that I'm interested in language and its use, I love to use a broad vocabulary and I tend to think laterally - put these together and, well, you've seen the results.

But, I reiterate, I'm entirely normal

Hi to all Dirklings
It's been more than a bit spooky here since just before six. The whole town was suddenly plunged into darkness - no street lights, just total gloom except for flickering candles in windows. Luckily, I had loads of decorative candles in the house but it was horrible listening to continuous wailing sirens. The lights have just come on after nearly 3 hours
Missed final of Dancing on Ice - did anyone watch - I missed Bolero

Can't say I blame you We sometimes organise mystery shopping exercises - and the results are always interesting. I know from a personal point of view, the quality of service I give our customers / audience members / visitors varies enormously depending on circumstances.. I'm afraid I often have cause to reflect on the way I have dealt with people but its easy to say, not always easy to deal with at the time!

Oh I hate powercuts - pain in the arse

My phone number is very close to that of the emergency number for the elctricity company......before we got our cordless phone every time there was a powercut we ended up getting lots and lots of phone calls.....people were so put out we weren't the electricty company, like it was my fault or something.....luckily with the cordless once the power goes the phone doesnt work....tis lovely

So far I havent had a bad experiance. Sometimes the service is brilliant. When they want a criticism I have to really nit pick to find even the smallest of things.

Plenty of times I have been to places and it has been so dire I have wished I'd been doing a mystery shop. Next time I'm getting bad service I might get a notebook out of my bag and start writing notes and checking times just for a laugh.
