Argh. Just went to the shop and discovered some @rse has ripped my car wing mirror off and left it in the gutter. That's the third time it's happened in a few months and it's starting to do my head in. I can't understand the mentality of some people, why would you even think to do something like that? Someone nicked my car aerial last year too, I can't afford to replace it only for it to happen again.

Morning DQ. Very windy up here, has brightened up a bit though, no sign of snow yet.

the bad weather is coming down from the Arctic and so it will hit the north west first, ( you are in Liverpool aren't you DQ - sorry if I am wrong) and then will work its way down the country.

Here in the south east it is always worst when the east winds blow across from Siberia -- quite a few years since that has happened and we always get plenty of notice because all the countries in Europe get it before us and it is on the news.

And anyway - now because the daylight hours are longer it never seems to stay for long.

Ooh, don't, someone was just telling me last night how they've just moved into a new flat and all they can hear all night is the sound of children's footsteps running up and down the stairs. Apparently a little kid was abused and killed there years ago. Things like that give me the willies, I'd have to move out.

Hurrah.

Btw, is it next weekend the clocks go forward?

Wonder how Dirk's getting on with the new time change in America.

oh, spookey....

when I was a kid, my sister and I shared a bedroom with bunk beds and one night we left the wardrobe door open (one of those walk in closet kind of things) and we both saw this shadowy figure come out and walk up and down the room a few times before kind of disappearing...

yeah at the time we were kind of numb about it ....I remember whispering can you see that and her whispering back 'yes' but that was all we did at the time. After that we used to lock the wardrobe door every night...

I'm not surprised. I think I'd have dropped dead of fright. Just listening to this girl last night was enough to make a chill go up my spine.

You mean you haven't got Dirk stashed in your servants quarters at the end of the east wing?

From memory from reading the thread back earlier this morning, I think it was Almira.

Blimey, if I did, the last thing on my mind would be giving him housework to do.
