I'm not usually like this - I don't know what it is about Dirk that has struck such a deep chord with me
Actually I do know - I think its more to do with the friendliness, humour and general daftness of the people on this forum than Dirk per se (though he can take a little credit too)

i think that has a lot to do with it....I think Dirk is what bought us together, but he isn't necessarily what has kept us together, if you know what I mean...

As several of us Dirklings have our birthday in April (myself, RGWT, Chloe, Hera, Sneakyboo), we have decided it would be fitting for us to hold a joint birthday party next week, and to hold it at .org as our first party there. (If anyone not mentioned here has a birthday in april and would like to take part, please PM my tuesday, btw).
The theme of the birthday party will by the Jackson 5 (as suggested by Susann), and we would ask that those attending come dressed appropratiely and have a link to your costum to hand to post for us when asked!
Additionally, we will be asking you to find a present and asong for one of the FM's who's birthday is in April, and to bring along a link to both of these on the night.
Please PM me if you will be attending by 8pm Tuesday evening and I will then randomly select the name of one of the FM's who's birthday it is.
The present should be something you think that they would like for there birthday.
The song should be one that you feel fits their personality, or reminds you of them in some way.
During the course of the evening, you will be called upon by myself or RGWT to make your presentation to the FM in question, and to explain why you have chosen this present/song.
The second part of the evening is an idea for a party game put forward by fruits, as follows:
This part of the evening won't start till after 10pm, please PM Fruits with your answers by 6pm on thursday if you want to take part.
You can take part in one or both parts of the evening
