Miss Marple: Of Mongoose and Murder
Cast: Miss Marple - Joan Hickson http://www.avdistrict.org/library/joanhickson.jpg Mrs Bantry - Gwen Watford http://www.carmendusautoy.com/elders350fw.jpg Detective Inspector Slack - David Horovitch http://gfx.filmweb.pl/p/58468/po.104078.jpg Suzie T Floozie - Susann ??? http://images.icnetwork.co.uk/upl/ic...01AC1BF814.jpg Truxton Wyndham Northrup the Fifth - Dirk Benedict (Nick Name: Bink) http://lalibrary.net/pkp/images/benedict.jpg Coleridge Pemberton Freeborn the Second - Cleo Rocos (Nick name: Muffy) http://www.ukgameshows.com/atoz/peop...os%20rocos.jpg Setting: a typical sitting room in 1950’s England *A group of people sitting in faux velvet purple armchairs, looking rather shifty, while the good Detective Inspector Slack addresses them* Detective Inspector Slack: You all know by now that Mr Mongoose has been killed. We’ve reason to believe that the person who killed him is in this room. For this reason, none of you are to leave this house without my say so. Is that clear? Suzie T Floozie: but surely you can’t honestly believe that I was involved in this? I stand to lose everything now that Charles has died…..my home, my glamorous life style, my friends…… (cries into hankie) Truxton Wyndham Northrup the Fifth: Oh for god’s sakes, pull yourself together women, people I know don’t carry on like that! Detective Inspector Slack: I can see that you are overcome with grief at your loss *dead pan* , Ms Floozie, but you have to understand that Mr Mongoose made a will last night that changes everything.. Coleridge Pemberton Freeborn the Second: *gasps* a new will……what on earth do you mean? Detective Inspector Slack: It was bought to my attention by an old friend of mine that she bore witness to a new will yesterday evening, in which you were disinherited by your Uncle in favour of Ms. Floozie here….. Suzie T Floozie: oh yay, good old Charlie……what a sweetie! I shall love him to my dying day! Coleridge Pemberton Freeborn the Second: *shocked* why that low-down no good fool….. Truxton Wyndham Northrup the Fifth: Bad luck, Muffy *sniggers* and by the way your MAC is showing… Coleridge Pemberton Freeborn the Second: *glares at Truxton* oh I could just stab you, Bink….*flustered* not that I would do such a thing really…and certainly not to my dear Uncle, he must have taken leave of his senses….. *door opens, two women enter* Detective Inspector Slack: Ah, here she is now…good evening Miss Marple, and I see you have bought Mrs Bantry along with you. Mrs Bantry: oh this all so thrilling, and Jane has been so clever about everything, haven’t you Jane? Miss Marple: well now, I dare say you are exaggerating again, but things do seem to have resolved themselves rather nicely. It reminds me so much of little Tommy Watson….he was very upset when his parents threw away his flea circus because they thought it unhygienic. He put itching powder in their bed and kept them up half the night….. Suzie T Floozie: That sounds like a terribly amusing joke, but what does that have to do with anything? Miss Marple: Oh nothing really, apart from it reminded me how malicious one can be over something they care about deeply, even if the thing they care about seems so small and unimportant to others. Coleridge Pemberton Freeborn the Second: *rolls eyes and makes gaga gesture to Truxton* Truxton Wyndham Northrup the Fifth : WHAT? Are you insane? What are you waffling on about? I don’t have to sit here and listen to this rot….I’m leaving this god awful place and heading back to the states….*stands up and makes to leave the room* Detective Inspector Slack: I wouldn’t do that if I were you, sir….there are police waiting right outside to stop you leaving…. Miss Marple: Yes, you cared very much for your snake Horace when you were a child, didn’t you Mr Northrup? What a dreadful shock it must have been to find out that your Uncle was responsible for it’s death all these years later….and in the midst of this it was YOU who fixed the wiring on your Uncle’s wheelchair so that it would give him an electric shock when activated….and YOU who tried to frame your cousin Miss Freeborn, for she has long been a thorn in your side…..I suppose you thought it would be poetic justice, given you have taken the blame for her misdeeds in the past. Truxton Wyndham Northrup the Fifth : *angry and defiant* you meddling old hag……all right, you want the truth, yes it was me….I found out from Gordon what happened at last, and when I confronted the old bas*ard he just laughed in my face and told me what fun it was for him to skin and eat poor old Horace…. * sits down and puts head in hands* Mrs Bantry: Anyone for tea and scones? End scene Last edited by Muttley76 : 13-04-2007 at 22:11. |

End scene Another great work of modern literature there Muttley.!!!! Brilliant |

So I have no idea if it's in character at all?
