Thanks to savethecheerlea and Zigesa and Runner for making me feel welcome -

I generally tend to avoid appreciation threads after the show is finished but was warming to be thanked for my support

Chanelle needs help - professional help that is - she has way too many issues to think or see straight - her fans seem to feel she is some sort of demi-God and can do no wrong - she is in danger of being termed a media "W***E" if she does not pay heed to someone more responsible than clearly those currently advising her.

Ziggy being older will be ok - he need to put this "mess" behind him

He will also probably come in for a lot more flack than she - him being male and all - and older "should have known better etc"

He will still come out of it better than she ever could - as she is not mature enough to realize the error of her actions - she is on a crash course to trouble and someone should try to persuade her to seek assistance

Most people I know who disliked them both in the show actually sympathize with him -

So I just popped back to tell you this

Byeeee

xx

Hi guys. Been lurking for some time but just wanted to add my thoughts.

I really liked Ziggy from Day 1 in the BB house as I thought he was intelligent, decent and a real gentleman. I genuinely thought he made a big mistake getting involved with Chanelle so quickly and believe we didn't get to see the best of him due to their relationship.

Once the tantrums, jealousy, foul language etc started I was really disappointed he kept going back to her but can only assume he was bewildered by it and had never come across this kind of behaviour before. However, I think the worst that can be said about him was that he was somewhat weak.

I prayed he wouldn't go along the route of selling his private life in magazine articles etc once BB finished but would carve out a career as an individual. Sadly, that was not to be so I avoided all that publicity. The only thing I've seen was the end of the RSC show and was shocked that Chanelle was so rude (keeping her arms folded when Ainsley offered her the second-prize mug and not even saying thank you!). I thought then that Ziggy could not possibly stay with someone so bad-mannered and childish.

I must say that once the NOTW piece appeared on Sunday, it all rang too true to me. I've got nothing against Chanelle but think she has some serious problems that need addressing. I've met people like that myself who explode and lash out with no warning and then act completely normally and wouldn't wish a relationship with someone like that on my worst enemy. Love is something you do, not something you say and I think Ziggy knows that.

I still think in my heart that Ziggy is a good guy and hope he can have a happy and productive future. I'll be looking out for him and wishing him the best.

Anyway, I've enjoyed reading all your comments and will continue to do so. Sorry for the long post! xx

hi annie. No apology needed for your long post. It was a great post and you are more than welcome anytime to come in a chat. Ziggy is a good guy and needs to move on from this, which I am sure he will. I hated RSC and said so, but got shouted down for my troubles!!! anyway, welcome again.

Hello everyone. Just popping in for 2 minutes. Have caught up with reading the thread.

Great to see new / returning posters here I was interested to read all your comments.

Agree the mark on C's arm in Wenn pics is 100% the burn from the house.

Daily Star Cover today says it all ( IMO) they condone violence. I have not seen the inside so to be fair the inside may read completely differently. They are going to have to find inivative ways to portray Channelle for a while until her contract runs out.

Going out now. be back later.

I feel he took far more than many would - ok he bumbled and grunted his way through BB but I enjoyed his presence far more more once the "sreaming child" had left.

The article he is being damned for in the NOTW was not as bad as her fans are making out -

The message I have is basically - rise above it - she is not worth the effort and good luck sorting what you do now -”

OMG, I can not believe what I have read on some of the other threads, like hitting someone once is not abuse, what did he say to her to make her lash out. I am totally gutted that people have said these things not just about Ziggy, but trying to justify abuse in general. There is never an excuse.

What a great read today. Thanks to all the new posters. Seems Ziggy attracts balanced mature fm's given the quality of the posts on here today. I think it takes some life experience to be able to appreciate the issues. I agree with fm above (can't remember who now) who said that the response of some posters is driven out of their own relationship difficulties & the feelings they have around those rather than specifically what has happened. (I've always thought that was the base of Chanelle support when she was in the house / also the base of Ziggy dislike). For others it has become clear for some time that there was something a little 'unhealthy' about the emotional involvement in the Chiggy relationship. I posted a couple of weeks ago it was as though for some it was about the vicarious thrill * they got from being so personally involved. It was at this time that I largely gave up on the Z&C romance thread.

Dictionary definition - felt or enjoyed through imagined participation in the experience of others:

I agree....physical abuse is wrong...there are no circumstances where one should raise their hand to another person. End Of!

Hi guys

Ok i have been oblivious to what has been happening over the last week or two as i haven't had much time to come into this forum and keep up with all the Ziggy news. But i was in Tesco's this morning and saw the front cover of Heat and my jaws dropped
What's been going on? I have so much to catch up with.

And i just wanted to say that with all that has gone on regarding Chanelle, Ziggy still has my support. He will move on, be successful and happy. We also need to remember that he has a strong & loving family who will support, look after him and be with him all the way.

Iam stunned at the lengths some people go to try and justify her actions.....

It is expected behavour of individuals who are facing changed reality. Denial - followed by anger. They just have work their way through it. Let them sound off it isn't going to change anything. Only time & more evidence of the changed state (ie: Chanelle instability) is going to get them through this. For some it will happen quite quickly for others it will take longer & for some they may never accept.
