I don't know about all singles, but certainly a lot of them are played on the radio for what seems like ages before it's possible to buy them.

In the old days, singles would "climb up the charts", but these days a lot of them enter the charts at their highest position (the week they first go on sale), then head down.

I dont really know how these things work to be honest so they dont get launched first you think.
