OMG mermaid, that was so nice of the pilot to invite you to the cockpit

I am what other people would call a 'geek' with planes, It may have started because my elder brother Tony was a BA chief streward, but I have a passion for all planes, especially 747 <sighs>. I get very emotional when on a plane for take off, it's not because I am nervous, It's a happy feeling to the extent where my heart is going to explode with excitement...LOL I even cry when I see a 747 taking off or landing <guys arrive from the lunatic assylum with white coat for me>

I first went on a 747 when I flew to montreal for the first time, I was like a kid, (flew with Air France) and I can honestly say that when I asked the stewardess about my obsession about the plane and whether I could have a tour, i.e. have a look upstairs on first class, she went out of her way to take me on a tour and that even included the cockpit too

You were very lucky to have been invited as allot of the airlines have banned such a request for safety purposes, due to 9/11

My dream holiday (and it will happen one day), will be going to the Netherland Antillies to an Island called St Maarten

Probably looking at November now , therefore Cyprus is out of the equation, so looking for somewhere with sun, beach and sea. If all else fails then Montreal may be on the cards

Wouldn't Cyprus be lovely in November...think of driving to the villages

Cyprus will not be hot though as the temperatures drop from Mid October.

Maybe looking at the Azores, Mauritius, Seychelles, or maybe dubai.
