Can't believe that Mario said this in his DS Interview when asked "Why do you think the ratings have dropped so dramatically in recent years?"


The only thing that he can be referring to was her not wanting to do the glamour shots when she first came out. Unbelievable

I guess the concept of the audience reach of the 24/7 livefeed and its usefulness to the press is something that's somewhat beyond his capabilities, bless.

I've never known such a daft explanation for the drop in ratings. If I may state the obvious, it's what happens when Big Brother is on that matters. What happens when it's over doesn't matter at all.

I see that Davina yet again made snide remarks about Rachel in tonight's BBBM. Someone in the audience compared Rachel to Sophie. Davina replied something like "She's nothing like Rachel. Sophie would be a deserving winner."

And they wonder why viewing figures are dropping?

I feel sorry for Rachel. She seems to be getting a lot of stick for the ending of Big brother for doing nothing but act with decency which is a rarity for many ex female BB HMs, or like you said she is not getting her baps out left, right and centre and falling out of nightclubs drunk.
First mario and now davina. Because every week on bbbm she makes a snide remark about her. And i also saw an article in the mail about 'reasons for the decline'.
One thing that will come good with the 'ending' of bb - no more davina on our tv screens.

Does Rachel have a favourite for the final or has she given up on it like the rest of us?

I wouldn't worry too much about Davina and chums. Rachel is the "real deal" and that seems to have stuck in their throats. Everything she says she sticks by. She's immovable, she can't be budged, swayed or enticed into anything she doesn't want to do. She is who she is, she does what she chooses. She's no dancing puppet like "Belo"! Davina and co are still looking for the strings....they can't find 'em! As for Ronseal man Mario he's dancing for BB and they don't want him...neither do the media!
Forget about Marcus! He's not a rebel, he's a dancer! The system loves him! They pat him on the head and feed him doggy treats so he can dance harder! However in terms of beating the system and not have the system beat you Rachel is THE one and only true rebel the show has ever had!...because the system hates her......and she played it her own way, kicked their a*ses and won anyway!
The more Davina and BB slag her off the more this only proves to be true!

Don't feel sorry for Rachel she's never been happier. She starts teaching full time on Tuesday doing a job that she absolutely loves with people who appreciate who she is.

She's successfully pursuing her chosen career which is something that very few former BB Hms achieve. Alas it does mean though that she can't attend the final of BB as she can't take the day off from school.

Not sure who her favourite is at the moment as the broadband in her new home is a little temperamental at the moment so it's difficult for her to get online - it will sometimes let her get on Facebook but totally refuses to download the digitalspy pages.

(Ooh...tech talk. I doubt it's the connection that's the problem - www.rachelrice.co.uk is based in Germany while the DS servers are right here in the U.K. I'd suggest using the Firefox browser with an "Add-On" called "AdBlockPlus", although I may risk this App being shuffled off into the tech forums by saying this, lol.)

One minute it will download most pages at a reasonable speed but then drop to 11kb per second which is a snail's pace especially when she's been used to a fast cable line at home. Their wireless router is fine one minute with all green lights then the connection drops off for hours and all she gets is a flashing amber light. They did say that they would be testing the line for the first 10 days so there would be fluctuations in the speed but this is unbelievable.

It's true that when a broadband connection is first set up, it takes some time to settle down to a proper speed - with me it was about three days, I think. Have they tried switching the router off and on again?

Rachel thinks that she knows what the problem is. If she jiggles the toggle that goes into the wall when her broadband connection goes off it comes back on. Sounds as if she has a loose wire somewhere.
