It's nice they feel ready to meet up and talk stuff through, hopefully they will both come away from their talk feeling a bit better inside themselves I want to be optimistic and hope they both can

That's over simplifying things, to say the least.

Suffice to say, it was more to do with the way he dumped Nikki, than that he actually dumped her.

Enough said though, I won't tarnish this otherwise haven of adoration.

I just don't like history being rewritten.

Yes Pete is very good looking but it is his personality and great sense of humour that make me like him so much.

I hope so to and it be wonderful if the people who keep knocking Pete or Nikki stop and leave both of them alone now.

i agree calmwaters, all this knocking of pete or nikki and especially pete lately is getting really boring, hopefully they can be friends in the future, but people should leave them alone now.

yep don't care anymore, they'll never get back together. I doubt they'll even be friends. Sure there will be peace between them but thats as far as it will go IMO.

it might make a change to over simplify things instead of all the over analysing that goes on in the nikki and pete thread over every little thing that pete says or does. Pete and nikki have split up, end of. Hopefully they can get together to talk and remain friends. I want to hear now what pete is doing in the future, not what happened in the past. i wish nikki all the luck in what she does in the future but as i was never a fan of hers i,m not really interested in talking about her.

We know pete's faults but we still like him for who and what he is, an enigma and lovely, genuine guy.

If you think that is adoration, well so be it.

What good way is there to 'dump' someone? Actually it was during a mutual discussion (according to BOTH sides) that the subject was discussed. The question was asked and answered honestly... would you have been happier if the question was sidelined/answered at a later date? You ask a question, hopefully you get an honest answer.

Adoration? Debatable...
We all know here that Pete is not PERFECT - as are none of us (and that is probably why we like him so much...).
However, we like him, we support him, we like our thread - because it is downright NICE!! (Is that a bad word now?)

As said before - Pete is not a one dimentional cardboard cutout... the debate rages because he is interesting and complex.
Other hms are cardboard. Sorry, but they are - and.. futher more, get over it!
By saying that we are 'over simplifying' here actually points out the enduring ignorance of our thread... we have debated and listened, we have read and thought, we have understood... and to be succinct in our conclusions means we have made our decisions... just as supporters of other hms have done (and we all have our 'other' favourites - which we actually do, believe it or not - they're just not our first choice).
Pete has a strong fanbase - good. We are not fairweather fans.
Do you want us to suddenly turn round and say 'Oh you're right, buggar him, he's crap after all!' Would you respect us more... or less?
Just because we are friendly peeps and 'NICE' to boot, doesn't mean we are unintelligent! We all have different proffesions, come from all walks of life - just like other fans of other hms - don't dis us for being a 'haven'... would you say that to the Nikki (Thanks for all your support) thread... or Ais thread?

I have to say..it amazes me how people misunderstand both Pete and his supporters...

The funniest thing is everyone assuming they are just kids..well..there are plenty of kids, true..but there are also a lot of adults..professional people..

On PP we have a few family's who are members...daughers, sons, mothers, fathers....its a real mixed bag,

Most seem to have certain things in common..a broad mind...and a positive outlook on life..and sense of humour..we get very little slating of other HM's or arguments and backbting, as I have witnessed on other fansites....

oh and we are all slightly nutty.

Pete isnt perfect, far from it..he is very flawed he makes mistakes and then worries about them and tries to correct them, making them worse in the process...in other words...he is very human and very real

This all makes him more lovable to me..the more he screws up..the more I know he is just a genuine guy, trying to do the best he can.

Anyway..thats me drunk my morning cuppa...so I'd best get on...

And rosemary, 'a broad mind', 'a sense of humour' and 'a positive outlook on life' - think you've summed up us Petey fans perfectly. Think some people would get quite a surprise if they knew just how many Pete fans there are who are in the slightly older age bracket and are professionals too.

Trinsk and Rosemary great posts couldnt have put it better .Im a mature fan and work in a differcult profession where I woultnt last 5minites if I was naive about real life and people. Carry on keeping it real got to go now be back later.

Brilliant posts trinsk and rosemary. You both put it so much better than I could do.

Another mature fan here who works in a profession where you need to have an open mind and a sense of humour amoungst other things.

I have liked pete from day 1 and have loved his genuine and honest qualities and yes he does have faults, he,s only human, but at the same time , he is such an enigma that you want to know more about him, definitely in my case, more than any other bb hm ever.

Just to let you know..he hasnt..she has just gone away to Japan on a holiday ..she will be back by christmas and its trip shes been planning for ages.

Don't tell me it's not true, rosemary? You can't possibly mean that........ that.... they have cobbled together the story. What on earth would be their purpose? Surely they can't want to make MORE money on the back of Pete's relationships - can they? Yep, looks like they do

I am just watching paul o grady. he has jack osbourne and clive james talking about their books. Do you think he will have Pete on. (even if its pre recorded)
