I've just been to town shopping and there was a crowd outside one of the shops..a Spurs footballer was in there singing stuff...but there wasnt nearly as many people outside as there was for Petey

£17.99 It's less than a tenner in Tesco (it's at 20 in their chart). Of course you don't get to meet the man himself.

Its £17.99 everywhere...but like a lot of books its discounted (thank goodness..who can afford £17.99 for a book )

20 in the Tesco chart is quite good too...

On a happier note. You that katy on PP was ebaying petes signed book for the TSA, well i put a bid on it as it was for charity and guess what. Its mine I won.

Sorry to hear your trip to Brighton is off, micky1. You and rosemary must be getting the weather we had in East Anglia yesterday. Hubby and I were in town when it absolutely fell down. Had to spend ages sheltering in Smiths- got a coffee out of it though The sun's shining here at the mo but it's supposed to pour down here again soon too

So pleased that you got Pete's signed book, micky1.
I know how desperate you were for him to go to Southampton. Must make you feel quite close to him I reckon

Itsy... Thanks , sorry, don't mean to make you sad with my posts... Cheer up mate! The whole situ is moving, if you get it - like us Pete peeps clearly do... it's so much more than the man who represents it! I know what you mean though... and it's a good thing - which, I know you know, but I don't want you to be upset
I think some people do not realise the empathy with Pete - and I assume that these people have not been in the situation of coping with certain problems that children/young people may have..
Pete drew half and half imo.. those of us with kids/work with kids/know people with certain problems and those who warmed to him because of the personality that Pete has. Either way, he's a great guy - as prooved in the book signings!

Sorry I didnt pop in last night..I had major computer crashing issues before I went to bed

LOL Electra I ended up with four book ...but in my defence there are very rational reasons why I did so

I think that right Trinsk..the amiration we have for Pete is a mixture of empathy and affection.

I think People mistake empathy and understanding for sympthy..which is a shame as I have never pitied Pete...infact the oppersite. I admire and respect him very much.

I think we live in a very intolerent world and Pete has done a lot to increase tolerence, especially among younger people and I am very grateful to him for that

Hey trinsk, please don't think that your posts upset me because they don't .... they just really move me. Personally I have never known anyone with problems so seeing Pete on BB was a real eye opener for me. Now I want to know all about kid/adults like him. I certainly don't pity him or anyone like him, I just have huge respect and admiration for people who have to cope with disabilities of any kind.

Thanks for the info re Pete and Cherry's night out, NorseRaven. Haven't been able to go on PP much lately as up to my eyes in family things.... like engagements and weddings.

Off to hang out some washing and then got to do some preparatory work for college. Back later hopefully.

I even found myself telling my elderly mum all about him yesterday- don't know if she really took in what I was saying but it made me feel good he-he.
