FANTASTIC GLASTO NEWS!!!

Just the fact that even after a billing cock-up...over a thousand turned up on word-of-mouth alone and were left gagging for more - is an amazing feat for Pete and his band.

All the other fun things he got up to at the weekend were just a lovely bonus - PERFECT!

Pete's got a gift for making people happy. However knackered his condition makes him feel, he always makes time for the - probably thousands by now - of fans who want their moment with him.
It's a big two-fingers to all the bullies who have dogged him all his life and to the jealousy that some sad-sacks embarrass themselves with....

Those of us who love Pete - let's just keep supporting him and having the great laughs we've shared every day we 'found' the beautiful little nutter!
Couldnt agree more Zuzu - since I have been a fan of Petes, I have had a great time, made so many new friends and met the man himself several times.

The amount of people that turned up to see him was fantastic and they asked for an encore to which he happily obliged. Even the bar staff stopped serving so they could watch him perform!

Yep it sure did sound like that.

The good thing with Pete is that he is carving a career out the old fashioned way with gigging and marketing himself correctly. He could have released a single in the first week of winning BB but then the critics would have said that he is only number one because he won BB etc etc blah blah. Now he is trying to do it the proper way and he's doing well.

Good luck to him.

Nice to have you back Wanda

Yes in fact we have heard reports from his manager that everyone in the music industry has applauded Pete for putting in the hard work and not riding the BB bandwagon like his fellow contestants. He has earned alot of respect for the way he has handled this, putting in the hours and gigging, and the travelling. It must be particularly hard for him at times as we are all aware Pete's tourettes can make him exhausted and feel phsically quite ill. God bless him, it wouldnt be easy for anyone and he has exhiled him self in his efforts. I'm so proud of him for it.

Fantastic post Starry - couldnt agree more. Being in the public eye is hard enough for anyone - especially when its thrust upon you. All of a sudden, people think they own you and have a right to criticise every move you make, and demand answers for things they feel you have done wrong or whatever. I know I certainly couldnt put up with it. Making the decision to go on BB was his own of course and it has been a life changing experience for him - some good things, some bad but they have made him stronger as a person. He has learned alot about himself and other people and is now making the decision to embark on a solo career through sheer hard work.

Good on him for that - we have seen him grow and I am so pleased to have helped him follow his dreams. I think Pete has learned that the hard way that he will never please everyone all the time so all he can do is please himself and not to worry about what random individuals think.

Good news about the new London gig.

SOHO REVIEW BAR - WALKERS COURT, off brewer street

GUY CHAMBERS - SLEEPER MUSIC NIGHT 5th july.

Shame I cant make that one .

At least this should shut up anyone who thinks that Guy Chambers "Dumped" Pete.

If he did why would he have him performing at the gig.

Well put StarryNights Pete is learning his craft and proving that he can cope with what a music career involves. Hes init for the long haul and not the fast money from a novelity record released just after winning BB. Really pleased the music industry have respect for him , he has earned it and deserves it.

Did this thread disappear then?? Must have missed that one!

Anyway - another gig added for Pete - excellent. Hope you can make this one CW.

Guy Chambers inviting Pete to perform - he was also at an earlier gig of Petes so goes to show that people who think that Guy dumped Pete are talking rubbish!

Pete rocks!
