Afternoon everyone - as an ex-fan of Pete, I hope I will not be shot down in flames for posting on his appreciation thread.

I would just like to say that I was very pleased to read that his charity work is to be recognised on a visit to 10 Downing Street and a meeting with Gordon Brown.

It is an honour and privilege for him, and his family, friends and supporters have every right to feel proud of him.

Regards Z

Hi zeebra I should think you would be welcome on here, it's not the posters who are not welcome but the sarcastic , nasty comments that are made by some FM's on what is after all an Appreciation Thread

Like the comments made by the last poster.
Its sadness personified if you ask me.

Hi electra

I think I was probably a bit hasty with my post , it's just that so many FM's come on slating P.ete that at times it is possible to jump to the wrong conclusion, nevertheless I think I should have realised that you were teasing

Thank you Zeebra. It nice of you to be an ex fan and post something so lovely - theres no reason at all why you should be shot down in flames. That was a very nice thing for you to say. We appreciate it.

Sadley Not whilst I could get there okay i would have to travel home by train on my own and im not happy to do that so i wont be going. Would have loved to see self service though ive heard they are really good.

Petes manager has told us though that anyone who does go needs to behave them selves LOL as its not the type of gig to scream at. Its a bit more sedate that petes other gigs. So to anyone going no dancing on the tables naked. LOL

WHAT?? So that means I'll have to send my nipple tassles back then - darn!

I've seen the website for the venue and it looks quite swanky. I will be on my best behaviour - promise

Self Service are pretty good as well so will be good to see them again.

Its a civilised gig apparently - pleased that Pete was asked to perform there by Guy Chambers. Should be a good night!

Haha - I don't think Simon realises how hilariously ironic he's being re the venue for this gig!

The place used to be Raymond's Revuebar and one of the oldest, most profitable strip clubs in Soho... the "flagship" of Paul Raymond's massive porn empire - which is now a massive property empire. Think he owns 80% of Soho's prime real estate - valued at £600million - and that doesn't include his personal fortune.

So altho' the club is different now - all the dancing on the tables references are funny!

Think it'll be a fab night - doesn't matter where he plays Pete's an amazing and energetic performer.

Everything's going so well for him at the moment - professionally and personally and he deserves every bit of it and more.
